[Victor is looking straight into the camera; he's got nothing to hide, after all. He seems fairly nonchalant about being here, and he mostly is, except for a couple of concerns about people he's left behind. Sure, giant turtle cities are pretty weird as alternate dimensions go, but he can cope. At least people seem to be friendly enough, and it does sound like his help might be needed.]

Hey. My name's Victor, and I just got here, so I thought I'd say hi and see who else is here. I, uh, don't think many people will recognise me, unless my friends turned up as well and I just didn't see them. Mostly I'm looking for a couple of kids called Molly and Klara, so if anyone sees them can they let me know?

[He shrugs, and looks down at the console itself, now looking a little confused.]

Anyone know how these consoles work? I usually do okay with technology, but I can't even tell what these are made of. I don't want to mess around with them if I don't know if I can read the code... if they even run on code.

[He'll avoid mentioning why he's usually good with technology, though. He's not sure what kind of prejudices people even have here, and cyborgs usually make people a little uncomfortable even at home. He looks up again suddenly, having just remembered something.]

Speaking of which, I'm meant to find a job, apparently. Anyone know anyone who needs a mechanic or an electrician? I'm not officially trained, but I'm good for an amateur and I pick things up pretty quickly.

[Rhetorical question. Of course she did. He looks away and hesitates for a second before answering again.]

I never had a hero name. Chase used to name me whatever he felt like and Molly tried once or twice, but none of them really stuck. It's not like I was famous enough for anyone to care, and I think by the time I met them most of my friends were a bit uneasy with the whole secret identity thing.

She told the entire net to call her that. Dunno if 'insist' is the right word, but. Yeah.

[Bart nods at this explanation.]

Ahh, got it. I just figured if you knew her and Tommy that you did, y'know? But some of the coolest people I don't have'em.

There never really seemed to be a reason for it. I mean, my friends were already known to a whole lot of people by their real names anyway, thanks to, uh, stuff that happened. And secret identities aren't really necessary if you don't have like, a day job or a family or whatever.

[Plus, well, his evil future self called himself Victorious, and after that codenames seemed like kind of a bad idea.]

Huh.

[Bart stays quiet, for him. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Victor doesn't have a family, and he can somewhat commiserate with that. He doesn't, though.]

Yeah, guess you're right. Plus. People pick lame ones all the time man. Booster Gold. [Snort.] Robin.

Sorry, never heard of either of them. This a different worlds thing again?

[Which actually bugs him, a bit, because some of his carefully memorised databases aren't actually relevant.]

Then again, we have guys named things like Chamber and Ant-Man, so I guess it's a shared problem.

Yeah. Sorry. Should've pointed that one out. It's definitely a different world thing. You're from the one with mutants, and I'm from the one with metahumans.

[There are more differences than that, Bart is sure, but that's the one that jumps to mind.]

Ant-man? What, is he a Formic or something?

[That's the second time he's heard that one, so he's assuming they're the same thing. He's also very enthusiastic about explaining it.]

What, the aliens Bean was talking about? No, he's human, he's just a genius. He discovered these particles that let him change his size, and then he invented a helmet that let him control ants. It sounds pretty insane, but he was one of the first Avengers, so he's a pretty big deal back home.

[Victor does tail off a little at the end, though, because Dr Pym also invented Victor's evil robot dad, which is pretty impressive but also not particularly a good thing.

I was following you pretty good. Genius, has particles that let him do that Atom size-changing thing. Then...

[He cannot keep himself from laughing.]

He controls ants? Seriously? That's his power? Oh god. Lemme guess. His archnemesis is Professor Picnic. Sergeant Sugarbowl. Bucket o' Water. No, no. The Magnifying Glass.

[Scuse you dude that's his... relative you're talking about there. Grandfather? Sort of?]

No, these days he goes by Giant-Man. He figured out how to make the particles work the other way as well. And even when he was Ant-Man, he was on the Avengers. The first guy they took down was Loki.

[Ah, the tangled nightmare of changing codenames. Bart knows it well. ]

Riiiight. Loki, the slightly nutso thirteen year old with the overreactions the size of Keystone. He's like a chihuahua.

[Seriously no, dude.]

Wrong Loki? The one back home was some kind of ancient Norse God. Really, really dangerous, definitely not thirteen. He's nearly taken the Avengers out a few times, now.

[Seriously yes, bro.]

Right Loki? He was definitely a Norse god. Mage. Making with crazy threats when he couldn't play video games. Was kinda hot and cold with the ones who call themselves Avengers.

Uh. I don't think the Loki from back home would have anything to do with video games. He'd probably denounce them as some kind of "stupid mortal" thing. And he really wouldn't run hot and cold with the Avengers.

Unless it's a timeline thing, I guess.

Everything's a stupid mortal thing. He just deigns to glean amusement from it-ith. Forsooth! Troth! And any other archaic terms he doth fart at the screen when he's feeling cranky.

My money's on timeline. We've got some alt universe stuff going on, natch, but I see more timeline stuff.

Did he talk about himself in the third person and threaten hideous vengeance a lot? That's more what I'd expect.

It's a good thing I have a good memory, or I'd be confused by all this already.

He tried giving other mages advice - which was actually GOOD advice - but then he told them if they didn't do it he would set them on fire in bed. And when his phone stopped working, he told Tony Stark that he would 'dismantle his very being' if the dude didn't fix it. So yeah. I'd say yes.

Ha, this is nothing. My family's more hard to get a handle on than this place.

Huh. I can't imagine him as a 13 year old. Or using a phone, to be honest. But I guess he must have been. Weird.

[He's still a bit dubious about it, but there's not really much point arguing about someone who isn't even here.]

Oh man, don't even go there. When I found out who my dad was, I looked up some of the people he's... related to. It's pretty complicated.

Someday. I'm gonna meet somebody. They're gonna tell me their dad's great. Their mom's great. Cool sibs. Just a totally awesome family tree, and I'm not gonna believe them.

Not today, sorry. Like I said, I don't know how much Molly said about our parents, but seriously no-one I spend any time with has a family like that.

Maybe not a prerequisite. I know... one, that had an OK family when they started. But definitely a requisite, cause he doesn't any -

Then again, I guess B- Wiccan's parents are actually decent, from what I've heard. Maybe he's just the exception.
