[The feed cracks on with a rather tense looking woman, staring at you all.]

It seems I've arrived at the end of something major.

[Her tone is a little on the weary side, frustration seeping into her words whether she intends it or not.]

Tell me then, what exactly are we dealing with here? All explanations thus far have been a little lacking in detail. The sooner we wrap this up, the sooner I can get back to my own work.

[A beat.]

Is everyone alright? If we're going to be stuck in this together, checking as much seems a good start.

It's evil, lurks about in the shadows, and saying its name can be bad. Apparently amazingly hard to kill too. I wouldn't be surprised if likes to throw its head back and go 'mwahahaha' either.

I think not. There's too much I've been dragged away from and by the sound of it, too much at work in this place as well.

[Nilin smirks, just a little.]

Let's deal with one obscene claim at a time, shall we?

[Because she really isn't buying the whole 'turtle' thing. It's too far out there and makes her seriously doubt whether any of this is real at all. At the least, she can play along and info hunt and try to piece things together from there.]

That's... quite the imagery.

[She smirks. He smiles more.]

Work with enough downtime to be annoying. Trust me, you'll want a hobby to bridge the excitement.

[Hawke knows how she feels. It took him long enough to stop thinking everything was some kind of hallucination. The realization will have to come from her though.]

I have a very active imagination.

[That's not what she wanted to hear.]

I'd rather just get this sorted. That's the deal, isn't it? We put an end to this mess, go back home and resume whatever tasks we were stolen from.

And I rather sprout wings and breath fire but I don't imagine that dream is coming true anytime soon.

[He wishes he could give her better news.]

The problem is no one knows where our big bad dark lord of evil is hiding or how to kill him. Or if he can be killed permanently. Or how to face him without dying.

[Hilarious, Hawke. Nilin brings a hand to her temple and sighs.]

Are there any leads to work from? How many of us are there?

[He likes to think so.]

He died once before, but apparently he got better. Still haven't figured that one out.

[Hawke thinks for a moment as he tries to puzzle out a number.]

I'd say at least fifty of us but they are more children here than I'm comfortable with.

[Something that clearly bothers him.]

[Nilin stares a moment.]

He got better. That's how you're explaining it?

[She'll laugh about this later.]

...Why on Earth would they bring children here?

[That's a shared concern.]

I'm explaining it to you exactly how it was explained to me.

[Okay maybe not exactly. He's leaving out the part about time travel. She looks like she's having enough trouble right now.]

Maker I wish I knew the answer to that. Whatever the reason I don't like it.

[She shakes her head.]

It really is a desperate grab then.

[And that's even more worrisome.]

Tell me there are at least a few combatants here? What about you?

Desperate and insane. It worries me that I'm used to this by now.

[Kirkwall was full of those types.]

I've met more than a few so it's not a complete mess, and I know my way around more than a few pointy weapons.

I'm going to trust you have them with you? The last thing we need is a scramble to arm what few forces we have.

I came here armed, armored, and just a little worried that I might have gone insane.

[Nilin can't help but smirk.]

[Yes he knows that's not what she meant but he can't resist an opening like that.]

Some of us are attempting a plan, but at the moment it's only a plan in the barest of sense.

[Her tone is a little more firm with those words, but that smirk hasn't quite left her face.]

[Give him a moment to encrypt this Nilin. He's still learning how to computer.]

What? I thought we were just complimenting each other?

[His grin widens a little more.]

Sense reality is a bit of a mess already, a colleague and I thought we might try tearing a hole inside it and trapping the big nasty thing inside it. If nothing else it will buy us more time to kill it for good.

[That encryption is... worrisome. She can see that he's trying, but really man, what is that.]

You might want to work on those computer skills before you start talking too seriously.

[Her tone is gentle and not mocking in the slightest. This console is a relic compared to what she's used to, but for some it clearly isn't so.]

[Whoa how did she do that?]

Considering how I only learned of these things about a month ago I'm just happy that I haven't managed to break it.

[Because even with that crash course he barely knows what he's doing with this machine.]

[By his clothes, it seems not. To Nilin however, this console is way outdated.]

Strange annoying machines? No. That role is generally filled by people.

[That gets a chuckle, whether she intends it or not.]

[He winces as if suddenly hurt, but the smile comes right back.]
