As some of you may have noticed, there was an incident in Kithika that resulted in numerous people being injured or killed.

Those responsible are making reparations. Visiting hours in the prison are 1300 to 1900, for anyone that wants to see Kal or Jor-El.

[His expression flicks down to paperwork on his desk, which he straightens out meticulously.]

I'm offering compensation for any injuries sustained. This was done in my service, so if you were hurt either fighting the Kryptonians or the other dangers in Kithika, speak with me.

[He says nothing. Children, he doesn't mind humouring their desire to be called by their first name. Everyone else has to earn it.]

Then what is the point of your speaking with me? You aren't interested in money, and you just admitted you don't want 'lessons'. You can either suggest something worthwhile or cease wasting my time.

I want something that I can use so next time I can actually do something other than muddle about in a swamp and tussle with trees. Lessons, a manual, a mace, anything.

I'll have something delivered to your residence.

[And, true to his word, a few hours after the fact she'll get a rather elegant mace, obviously designed for a woman's strength and stature. With it is the name of a kedan weaponsmaster, and instructions to show up to practice with him at least once weekly.]
