Video; Joint post dated March 22nd
[The feed turns on to show Korra, smiling a deviously broad smile (those who know her probably know that smile means she’s up to something) and she holds a finger up to her lips before she whispers.]
Okay you guys. I need you to tell Mako that the network doesn’t actually bite and he can use it to talk to people.
[Then she turns around and happily exclaims:] Oh good, the tea’s ready. Thanks, Mako. See, isn’t he a gracious host? [That grin she has on is sinful.]
W-- Korra, turn that off.
[he sets the tray down pointedly, looking between her and the console, obviously caught off guard and not sure what to do]
In a minute. [Not even a minute, she fully plans to keep it on as long as possible.] Why don't you come over here and try it? [Not that she's giving him a choice since she's taking both cups of tea over to the console.]
I already told you I know how to use it. [he sits down, and focuses on her] We could've kept this conversation between us, c'mon, turn it off.
[and then he turns to the camera to give it an Intense Mako Stare (tm).]
We were talking about the network, so we should include the network. [She says it like it's the most practical, logical thing in the world.] So anyone who doesn't know, I'm Korra and this is Mako. He's been here for months but none of you probably recognize him because he never uses the network. So feel free to say hi to him! [Totally treating him like a new arrival. She's not sorry at all. Feel free to bug Korra too.]
(OOC: Maroon font=Mako and Baby Blue font=Korra.)

Come on, Mako. Smile for the camera. It definitely agrees with you.
[Having fun with this? You bet she is.]

Re: video
I'm playing along, alright?
video
[The smile was a good start. Too bad it didn't last; it actually did look good on him.]
You act like you're being tortured.
video
I'm not much of a 'phone conversation' kind of guy back home, either.
video
video
At least you can say your imagination has good tastes.
video
No. The video.
It's weird. Kind of a new concept back home, alright?
video
[KORRA GOT USED TO IT]
video
Korra's keeping score as she drinks her tea.]
video
[sigh]
Look, Korra's a lot more outgoing than I am. Okay?
[NOT TO BE CONFUSED FOR SHYNESS, BECAUSE HE IS NOT SHY]
video
video
But you don't have to be outgoing to realize how useful the Network can be. I mean...remember our little "adventure" in Fire some time back?
[And did you tell the others about it?]
video
The messages are pretty useful, and sometimes I read it. But what does that have to do with anything?
video
video
I'm just saying.
You're not the only person I've teamed up with for that sort of thing. And imagine how much more useful we'd all be if we actually--you know--coordinated ahead of time, rather than literally running into one another.
video
Alright, alright, I get it.
video
Does this mean you'll consider the idea that Korra is actually right?
video
video
One of us, one of us]You say that now. Give it time.
video
Uh-huh.
[he rests his chin in his palm, staring at the screen]
... At least playing along saved me from doing a question and answer session.
video
If it means that much to you, I'm sure I can think of a few dozen questions for you.
video
video
And if I can choose not to answer.
I've got a reputation to maintain, apparently.
