Video; Joint post dated March 22nd
[The feed turns on to show Korra, smiling a deviously broad smile (those who know her probably know that smile means she’s up to something) and she holds a finger up to her lips before she whispers.]
Okay you guys. I need you to tell Mako that the network doesn’t actually bite and he can use it to talk to people.
[Then she turns around and happily exclaims:] Oh good, the tea’s ready. Thanks, Mako. See, isn’t he a gracious host? [That grin she has on is sinful.]
W-- Korra, turn that off.
[he sets the tray down pointedly, looking between her and the console, obviously caught off guard and not sure what to do]
In a minute. [Not even a minute, she fully plans to keep it on as long as possible.] Why don't you come over here and try it? [Not that she's giving him a choice since she's taking both cups of tea over to the console.]
I already told you I know how to use it. [he sits down, and focuses on her] We could've kept this conversation between us, c'mon, turn it off.
[and then he turns to the camera to give it an Intense Mako Stare (tm).]
We were talking about the network, so we should include the network. [She says it like it's the most practical, logical thing in the world.] So anyone who doesn't know, I'm Korra and this is Mako. He's been here for months but none of you probably recognize him because he never uses the network. So feel free to say hi to him! [Totally treating him like a new arrival. She's not sorry at all. Feel free to bug Korra too.]
(OOC: Maroon font=Mako and Baby Blue font=Korra.)

But it's good to know who's got your back when you might need it most. [More friends never hurt, and she manages a smile while she's cramming another crisp into her mouth.]
Besides, now you're on the network in a good way forever.

[he's just going to let it go for now, and he's wiping his hands off, now that the washing is done]
Also, your impressions of me suck.
no subject
And you could do a better one of me? [Her voice is kind of muffled from the crumbs she's pouring into her mouth, bag turned up so she doesn't miss any.]

Think I should ask Bolin about some tips then? I bet he does a great impression of you.
no subject
[seriously.]

Or am I wrong on that one too? [Offering to let him clear his throat with that water. Just to make sure he's on key.]

Mako! Mako! I need you to wake up and start this fire for me.
Then go back to sleep.
no subject
OHMYGOD, BRO THIS IS WHY YOU KNOCK.
KNOCK.
no subject
The only one that loves me..... Is Pabu!
no subject
So, how's that for an impression for you?
no subject
I think you're right, I'll stick to you for the advice. [It takes her a moment to actually stop her snickering so she can take a swig of ice water.]
Are you sure you shouldn't have been selected for the Adventures of Nuktuk? [Eyebrow waggling. That was an interesting outfit after all.]

I think I like you better as a cop anyway. [Uniform and all. But mostly because those lines, she's ready to share those again.]
no subject
[cleaning up is easy, Mako at least keeps his place very, very neat.]
And trust me... I like being a cop better, too.
no subject
Wait, all those things? [Oho, she's listening now.] Including needing a fire and not knocking?
[Really listening.]
no subject
[he figures he should elaborate]
The fire one was a long time ago. I kind of... learned to not start fires and then go back to sleep after that. And I told Bo he wasn't allowed to cook on his own either.
[pause]
The other one-- well, c'mon. You noticed Bo had a lot of fangirls when we were pro-benders, right?
no subject
[Makes so much more sense to her now. Aside from the obvious, of course.]
Well, yeah, a few I guess. Why- oh. [She can't help but give him a sharp smirk.]
How often did that second one happen?
no subject
Once or twice. We had a very strong worded conversation about boundaries, and places that he wasn't allowed to take any of his fangirls anymore.
[REMEMBER THAT TIME HE WAS SUPER RUDE-- surprise]
no subject
Waaait, even in the lockers? [Bolin, you animal.]

[bluntly]
C'mon, I'm his brother, not his mom. Of course he did.
