[Console, whatever. Sure she got the run down on the thing but Mai's pretty much been ignoring it for the past day. She hasn't even bothered to really look on the network itself even if she has no intention of making an entry to it.

Now she's bothering though, mainly because she just wants to ask:]

So explain this war business to me again. Or at least try to convince me why I should care. Because right now? I really can't find much inside to say I should.

Oh, making a living. Learning about this place. There was also an incident with a dragon a couple of weeks ago that offered some information about the spirit realm of this place. But this is a tricky matter. This spirit doesn't like to act directly: it prefers to influence others. Such as infecting the dragon.

One native, and I believe at least one of those transported, though we haven't spoken yet.

Mmm... I should ask the dragon for details. We haven't been properly introduced, as he was quite sick when we met. And rather larger than he is now.

I'd assume they would be large no matter when it was. Not that I know anything about dragons.

Well, there are degrees of large. He is still far larger than a human, but before, he was the size of a small island. Much as the turtle young that wander the street are large compared to a turtle duck, but far smaller than the one we are currently living on.
