[ And here there are two quiet thumps followed by a light hiss, because he sure did knock on the side of his head for emphasis. ] Wanted to make sure I got it.

So, uh. Hey. Name's Casey. I'm from New York, and if you don't know what that means, I feel sorry for ya. I guess I'm here to wake up half-drowned and defeat evil like everyone else? The half-drowned thing is pretty new, but I actually have some experience with evil, so here's hopin' I can put myself to good use. I mean, between giant turtles and fightin' bad guys and studying for English Lit., I'll take the bad guys.

Now I know you're not a New Yorker. Real New Yorkers'll tell you that all pigeons are evil.

I always root for the underdogs, what can I say? And pigeons are pretty far down there.

Hey, I get the appeal of an underdog. Even I know what a Cinderella team is.

Pigeons, though... I guess they're not as loud as seagulls, so that's something in their favor.

Seagulls just got no class. Not that I can say much about class anyway. [ He knows what's up. ] So I guess you've been around here a while, huh?

I haven't been here as long as some people have. A couple of months now. Why, are you looking for a tour?

Nah, I'm gonna get a map and do all the tourin' myself. Most reliable tour guide I know. I was just wonderin'. Seems like there's a lot of welcome wagon set up already, and I know that kinda stuff takes a while to organize.

Over a year isn't uncommon. They've had plenty of time to get it together.
