Um... This is somewhat of a... strange and unfortunate situation... [ The voice that comes out is soft, feminine, and hesitant. Being without Agito is bad enough - being without Agito in what seems to be another universe is even worse.

He takes a deep breath and speaks again with more strength to his tone. ]

Waking up naked in a bath surrounded by a bunch of weird people isn't the best morning, ne? [ an awkward laugh goes here because he doesn't know what else to do. ] If they wanted someone who could fight evil they definitely picked the wrong person!

But I guess if they had to pick someone out of my friends, I'm glad they chose the least important one of us. [ he makes sure to say this very pointedly, in case the person who stole him away is listening and might realize their mistake. ] After all, I'm not one of the Kings or Queens anymore!

[ some more giggling. it's really hard not to panic. but he's trying hard not to panic. he is doing a bad job of not panicking but at least he's trying his best, right? once his giggling dies down his voice settles back into something more hesitant. ]

So, ah... I guess I need... Shoes? Does anyone know where I could get some sneakers? And maybe something to eat, too?

Well, I can't say many royalty quite understand the finer points of manners.

[Of course, Iroh is technically royalty himself, even if he's given up all claim to anything beyond the occasional free meal while visiting his nephew.]

Even if the ones I knew at home were rude, they at least had the courtesy not to kidnap me for more than a few hours at a time.

[ oh, he knows that feeling. he was a different kind of royalty, sure. but he worked hard for it before giving it away. ]

Well, there is that. Sadly, the Emperor seems to believe that fighting the spirit here will keep it from moving on, possibly to our homes. Hence, the invitations we could not refuse.

Then he made a severe error bringing me here. If he wanted me to help fight, he forgot the most important thing.

I believe the previous Emperor mentioned the spell was not a particularly fine-tuned one.

[ he takes a breath and buries his face in his hands for a moment, willing himself to calm down. it isn't the time for tears. agito will feel guilty if he ever finds out akito cried and he wasn't there to help. so no - he can't cry. it doesn't help anything. ]

It's not your fault, ne? Things happen sometimes that suck.

That is true. As far as places to be stranded, this is definitely not the worse.

It's not... [ Agito isn't an item. but implying that would be giving away too much information about his identity. and he wants to keep that safe until he has a better grip on his surroundings. ]
