[ Since Evandau's message said to use the radio for important information, Jack has made a visit to Clark and Lois' suite and asked to use the set. ]

Hi everyone... I'll keep this short, but as Evandau said, he asked me to start taking care of the new arrivals at the Welcome Center for the time being. So showing them to their suite, making sure they know about jobs -- though, uh... I guess that part's a little pointless at the moment -- and helping them with the consoles if they're not familiar.

Remember that new people coming in aren't going to know anything about what's going on and since things are dangerous right now, we'll have to make sure they're safe. So if anyone else wants to help with that, it'd be a pretty good time to take up volunteering. Come by the Center if you're interested please, since I can't answer here like with the consoles.

[ Jack will be at the Welcome Center if anyone wants to drop by. It was spared being targeted by the bombings thankfully and so is completely intact. As he mentioned, he'll be hoping that they get some new faces in, since the Center will now need to be staffed at all hours to take in the new arrivals the Emperor was speaking of. He will also ask a kedan courier to deliver a message to Korra, Julie, Booker and Hawke, asking them to come by since he needs to speak with them regarding the fishing shop. ]

Hullo, Jack! I trust you are well?

[Temeraire's own expression brightens; it is good, at least, to see Jack is unharmed, and keeping busy besides. It has been difficult to keep one's mind off recent events unless one has other things to occupy one's mind.]

Why, I cannot see any reason why it would not be; I can defend myself, if need be. [Not that flying cultists are not a possibility, but he has gotten into the habit of going armed, these days.] Is there something you should like me to deliver?

[ The reply comes easy, even though Jack hasn't felt lighthearted for a while. Still, he wants to do the best he can. For right now, that means making sure that the Welcome Center is as safe and helpful as he can make it. ]

No, not a delivery. I was just thinking, and you can tell me if this sounds really weird, but I'm used to flying to get the lay of an area. And with all the crazies running around, I don't want the new people to wander into places that aren't safe because they took a wrong turn somewhere.

[ He realized he was rambling a little, but he hoped Temeraire could tell where he was going with this. ]

[The casual response earns Jack a slightly baffled frown and a concerned glance at his feet. Thankfully, the rest of his answer is easier for Temeraire to follow, and he nods eagerly, his expression smoothing out.]

Oh, it is not strange at all: I did the same thing, when I first arrived in Keeliai, and I daresay I know the city from air better than most. You are thinking perhaps an aerial tour, for new arrivals?

Exactly what I was thinking, actually. It might be easier for the new arrivals to get their bearings and... you know, some of the people who are going to be helping out here, they're not able to defend themselves and others as well as some.

[ It wasn't that Jack only wanted those with magic or other abilities in this role but if for some reason something happened -- with cultists, with the gangs, anything -- Jack wood never forgive himself for putting them in danger. ]

I see your point: if I were an enemy, I should think the Welcome Center a weakness, to be exploited. We cannot allow that to happen.

[He tilts his head, considering.] Pray, is there any sort of pattern to newcomer arrivals? We--that is to say, the Corps and I--might institute a sort of patrol at that time, if that is the case. ]Jack has been here longer than most, after all; perhaps he knows something about the arrivals that Temeraire does not.]

They used to come around almost every week but they haven't been like that in months, even before Eshai died. The Center used to be really busy every day and I was always looking for more people to help, since I was splitting my time between here and the fishing shop.

[ A brief wince as he mentions the latter, because it being out of commission right now was a large part of the decisions he was making. ]

But I think that because the Center hasn't been so busy lately, might have been what kept it from taking a hit. And maybe why Evandau thinks it'll be safe for new people now.
