[ Since Evandau's message said to use the radio for important information, Jack has made a visit to Clark and Lois' suite and asked to use the set. ]

Hi everyone... I'll keep this short, but as Evandau said, he asked me to start taking care of the new arrivals at the Welcome Center for the time being. So showing them to their suite, making sure they know about jobs -- though, uh... I guess that part's a little pointless at the moment -- and helping them with the consoles if they're not familiar.

Remember that new people coming in aren't going to know anything about what's going on and since things are dangerous right now, we'll have to make sure they're safe. So if anyone else wants to help with that, it'd be a pretty good time to take up volunteering. Come by the Center if you're interested please, since I can't answer here like with the consoles.

[ Jack will be at the Welcome Center if anyone wants to drop by. It was spared being targeted by the bombings thankfully and so is completely intact. As he mentioned, he'll be hoping that they get some new faces in, since the Center will now need to be staffed at all hours to take in the new arrivals the Emperor was speaking of. He will also ask a kedan courier to deliver a message to Korra, Julie, Booker and Hawke, asking them to come by since he needs to speak with them regarding the fishing shop. ]

[Hawke stops and studies Jack for several seconds.]

There's something I missing here isn't there?

No, I-- I'm just trying to do the right thing, and I was thinking right now it was the Welcome Center.

[Hawke takes a moment to find something to sit on before focusing back on Jack.]

Alright I'm sitting down, which means I'm not moving for a while now. How about you tell me what's going on?

[ The spirit utters an awkward laugh. ]

C'mon Hawke, it's just like you said.

[Hawke sighs in an exaggerated fashion.]

Well I already sat down so I'm not getting back up.

[ Bear with him, Hawke. He's going to ramble at you now. ]

I just... wanted to keep the fishing shop going in case Finnick ever came back. He left before you got here so you wouldn't have known him. He couldn't see me for the longest time, then he could only hear me, but we still ended up being friends.

He never talked much about where he was from, and I got the feeling he probably would have stayed here in Keeliai if he'd been given the choice.

[Ahah! He knew there was more to this.]

Now that's a reason I can get behind.

[Hawke would do damn near anything for his friends. In fact he's done several things he probably shouldn't just to help them. A few heartbeats pass in silence as Hawke thinks on what to say.]

A few years ago one of my closest friends gave me a piece of advice. When someone tells you to "move on" you tell them "my choice".

[That has stuck with Hawke for years now. Maybe it will help here, maybe not. Hawke smiles, almost apologetically.]

I'm not great at situations like these, but at least I can offer some second-hand advice. Maybe it will do something for you.

If it helps, I'm pretty bad at situations like this myself. And I appreciate the advice, secondhand or not.

[ Though he's still not sure what to do. It feels a little like he's letting someone down either way. ]

Now I don't feel so bad for floundering about.

[Give him monsters to slay and dungeons to explore and he's fine. Throw him into a situation like this and he's left grasping at straws.]

Personally I'd say think on it over a few drinks but I'm not sure if you can even get drunk.

[ Hawke, you are getting the most wry grin ever. ]

[Jack receives a mischievous grin right back at him.]

I've got to admit, my curiosity has been peaked.

I guess I did walk into that one. I have to finish letting the others know about the changes to the Welcome Center, but after that?

It's a plan then. I'm not so eager to return to my suite after I finally slipped out unnoticed.

[Hawke lifts a hand and begins counting them off on his fingers.]

A woman who packs a hell of a punch, a very insightful girl, and a temperamental dragon.

[He looks over at Notch and bumps the dog with his foot.]

Oh, and this one too. He's not making things any easier for me.

[Notch huffs at him haughtily.]

Well, there aren't too many dragons on the turtle so I know who that would be... who're the two ladies?

[ C'mon Hawke give him the bro gossip. ]

There's River who's an odd little duck. About as old as you look but I doubt I'll ever be as smart as that one. Strange, but a good kid.

[And Hawke always finds himself drawn towards the strange ones.]

Then there's Nilin who is one hell of a woman. Never seen anyone fight quite like her. A damn fine friend too.

[Someone he trusts which is a rare thing for him here.]

Very nice to look at too.

[He grins, knowing Nilin would probably pop him for that if he wasn't already injured.]

I don't think I've met either of them but now I'm curious! You should bring them to one of your shows for the kids.

[ But he smiles, because he gets how it can be. Things have changed yet again between him and Zatanna so, he's in a little bit of the same boat as Hawke is. ]

Aren't they usually?

I'll try and see how that goes. They're bound to find it entertaining one way or another.

[Hawke thinks on all the women he's known and chuckles.]

Most of the time.

[It's hard to wear crazy and still be attractive.]

[ Jack winks at him! ]

Then it's a date, for you and your ladies.

[Hawke snorts.]

Not exactly my idea of a date but alright.
