How does one go about undoing a sudden interest in guardianship that a certain shelled someone seems to have found in me?

[ Someone's been trying to ignore Emily-Helen's insistent mental summons of her new papa, and it's getting to a point where it's becoming near-impossible to hear himself think over her in his head --and he's used to some pretty chatty ghosts already stuck up in there. ]

You got mad because I told you to stay away from the turtles. Considering that would normally be somebody's first place to go for answers, it was a logical warning to make.

Then stop playing at being their protector if you're not willing to leave what you find comfortable in order to protect them. They may deserve far better than me but you're no fine catch yourself.
