The feed starts with a confused looking teenager with a big scar on the side of his face. He's staring for a moment before he speaks.]

[He fiddles with it some more before he decides that yes, it is working.]

Uh, hello. Zuko here. I'm new and uh... I guess you guys already know that.

[He fidgets a little. There's also a look about him like he's definitely uneasy about something.]

So... I guess I will be here for awhile.

[Duh. Why is he so bad at this?]

[A brief pause while he considers this.]

Guess you left and then came back...? But then you don't remember...

I'm gonna assume you went home again not too long after we first talked, so it's probably been at least a couple of months since you've been away. As for what happened while you were here? I really only know what other people have told me about stuff related to the war that's going on.

[He shrugs a bit.]

[Super friendly wave from this guy as he checks the messages for the day. Since Zuko was new, Wan figured letting him know about the extreme heat wave and how to handle it would be a good thing. The welcome center might have done it already, but he wanted to make sure.]

The city isn't usually as hot as it is right now, but the Great Turtle is swimming along a path of light that follows the equator. Do your best to stay cool. Keeping to the shade or inside a building that has lots of air flow will help. If you decide to go swimming in the Water Sector, try not to disrupt anything. They use the canals like roads over there.

Thanks, but I can take the heat. Where I'm from, it's like this a lot.

That's good to hear. A lot of people, including the Kedan, aren't used to this kind of heat. Where are you from?

[He says this like it should explain a lot. Even though he realizes Wan probably has never heard of it.]

[To Zuko's like surprise, there is definitely recognition in Wan's eyes as they widen and he grins excitedly.]

Really? When are you from?

[He is surprised, and it shows. Zuko definitely wasn't expecting that kind of question.]

What do you mean, when?

I mean just that: when. Are you from the time of Avatar Korra, Avatar Aang, or before them or after them... when in the history of the Fire Nation are you from?

Oh, about six months. Long enough to open a new branch of my tea shop. If you ignore the recent difficulties, as long as I'm here, I might as well enjoy my retirement.

You opened up another tea shop?

Why does this not surprise him. And wow six months.]

[He's just been acquainted with the whole time paradox thing. So he really wants to know.]

The locals do expect us to find a source of income. And tea is one thing I know.

[Iroh considered this; he already knew that others could be from the near or far past, or far future. The fact Zuko knew about the Jasmine Dragon -- the original -- and wasn't worried about his actions meant one of two points of time.]

Oh, many things. I finally cleared the soot stains from outside the original Jasmine Dragon when I woke up here. They do like to keep an old man busy.

{Zuko might catch the reference to the re-taking of the city. Or he might not.]

[Soot stains. Zuko's brow furrows lightly as he puzzles over this.]

You were able to take back Ba Sing Se?

[Now that he doubted his uncle's skill, but didn't know the outcome of Iroh's plan yet. Maybe that will give Iroh a clue as to what point Zuko is from, also?]

And you're on the right track, at least. The Network here, and the Welcome Center, are the two best places to go for answers. Though you can also just walk around outside and see for yourself.
