A walk sounds nice right about now.

[His hand won't let go of hers though. Not unless she wants him to anyway.]

[You know, she's actually alright with it. So long as no one points it out, Nilin is content to let it happen. She's quiet until they're out of the building. When she speaks, her words are just for him.]

Daowei's?

[Then Hawke really hopes no one points it out along the way. He's rather enjoying this.]

Sounds like a safe enough place.

[One that both of the know inside and out. If anyone's listening they'll likely know it.]

[She nods, glad to have him there but feeling the pressure of what's to be said. The sooner they get there, the better.]

I need to get word out. Hopefully others will be able to fill in the gaps and we'll get somewhere.

Whatever you need help with consider it done.

[She was there for him so Hawke will make damn sure to be there for her in this. The two of them have resources that might be helpful for this.]

[Nilin squeezes his hand and shoots him a small smile.]

[His hand returns the squeeze, just enjoying the walk and being in her company.

When they arrive at Daowei's bookshop, Hawke secures the door behind them and relaxes a fraction.]

[Once inside, Nilin pushes her hair back from her face and sits on the edge of the table.]

The incident with M recently, with the hatchlings. What did you think of his message?

[Hawke thinks on that for a moment. Ultimately he shrugs his shoulders. The man might be a lot of things but sleuth he is not.]

Mocking us I assumed. Letting us know he can hear us through those gizmos.

Do you remember when I was in the palace a few months ago? And Evandau's logbook. The last post said he hadn't been able to talk to Asti since Eshai died.

[Hawke nods his head.]

I remember that.

[And he remembers being worried sick about her when he couldn't help.]

I thought it was because our spooky friend had his fingers in Evandau.

[Boy was he wrong about that one.]
