I, uh, paid some kedan to help me move the radio stuff into my suite? I didn't want it to get taken away. I mean, I'm not really the radio type. So like, I can show someone how it works or whatever, but I don't want to be in charge of it.

[She lifts a hand to wrap around the back of her neck, awkward.] If you didn't know, there's a radio system that people can use to transmit messages. He left a bunch of extras to hand out if people need them, so you can listen. But anyone can come transmit a message if they need to - if it's important, you know? Allegedly It can't hear the radio. The big bad wolf, I mean. I don't know if that's true though.

[Aya looked less uncomfortable at the question, if only because her expression and body language were fairly neutral. This is what she meant by conveying personal intentions, because there was already a single misconception that required clarification.]

[Enjolras is studying her a bit, trying to find something useful or comforting to say, though it never does get easy for those here when someone leaves. Particularly, those from other worlds who one is likely not to see again. Really, there is not much to say there, even though it is less than a death or something might be.]

And I am sorry to hear it. He was a good man, who talked me down from some fairly idiotic notions. It...would you like some company? I found that it helps a little when we're forced to say goodbye.

[In a way, Enjolras supposes that "okay" is about all anyone can hope for, and it seems to be the word used most often when someone is pretending things are all right with them, particularly if the person in question is used to being strong. Either way, he does not wish to leave anyone who he can help alone. And he finds himself considering the radio again.]

I would like to learn, actually. It seems as if that could be valuable when we get down to actual war being thrust upon us.

Monsieur Kent did a radio program for a while, did he not? Perhaps something along those lines could be done again.

[Enjolras does not want to give up the idea of a newspaper, so he is thinking along some other lines here.]

Reminders of ways to be safe from the threats, tips for recognizing, and keeping out of, danger; practical suggestions and techniques for various weaponry...It might be a good idea. Something to keep us all prepared, if nothing else.

I am not sure how much of that would be possible, but I'd certainly like to see if it might do any good.

Yeah, he did. It's the same system. We just need to find someone to take over who's actually willing and has that radio voice? I could teach you though. It would be good for someone else to know it, in case I disappear too.

And I mean.. maybe you could write a script? Or like, you were talking about newspapers before, right? If you write and publish those, then someone could totally just read them out loud on the radio too.

I do want to help, yeah. But I admit, I'm not leaving the Welcome Center too often these days... just when I have to, because of the lanterns. It's becoming something of a target for the kedan who aren't-- you know, sane.

If, um, if you're going to hand out the receiver units, would you let me modify them to work with the secondary network? I don't need to make any changes to the transmitter.
