Not always, and yet ... frequently misunderstood. I have heard, many times, men argue that a should and an action are the same, as if they are inherently synonymous--though in fact many shoulds require inaction.
Inaction... I can think of a few times it would have better served to follow that sort of principle. ...And only one where action was required and not taken. We could use some sort of way to measure things before just leaping in, or staying out.
Maybe some kind of...greater perception? Or even just looking harder ought to do.
I believe that is what one's conscience is for ... although even then, it requires some degree of logical consideration. Morality and logic are not so exclusive as people tend to think.
