This broadcast is to test the console now publicly available in the Midnight Hotel's lobby. Please respond in the manner of your choice to fully evaluate its functions.
[With Anton, he'll switch to video. There's nothing to hide, after all, and anyone new stumbling across their conversation are free to panic however they choose.]
That's almost exactly what another friend of mine said.
I'm not planning on hitting anyone this time around. I just thought you might like to test the texting function on your new console, and it was the first phrase to spring to mind.
It is true, there is strength to be found in adversity.
[Anton's never read the Odyssey, sorry, Arno; it was a nobleman's book, and by the time Anton learned to read he had better things to use the skill for.]
It's the ah...concept of that idea. For whatever reason...makes me feel better about all of this.
[Arno always preferred reading to making his tutor cry over algebra (both in dealing with Arno's attempts AND trying to explain it, poor man), so it made sense to delve in at the time. No judgement for those who haven't had the chance, or circumstances to read it though. He doesn't have time to reserve it over little things like that.]
[It took her only slightly longer than usual because of the several scans she wished to run on the transmission. As the recipient, not all of the program was at her disposal just yet, but she could get a strong sense of the immediate security.]
Audio and visual receptors are operating at acceptable parameters.
May I enquire as to whether or not encryption protocols have been taken into account?
I believe it has to do with the nature of the changes the kedan have been making to the software, but the head of the installation team implied some sort of issue with the use of encrypted transmissions during the invasion. Apparently the Chihuelans used the encryptions against the kedan ... something about a number of the consoles exploding.
[Also implied had been that this was how the woman had lost part of her leg, but Anton hadn't asked for details.]

Who are you hitting and how much will I need to pay them to forget about it?

I had thought you above such petty provocation.

[Well that answers one question.]
[text]
Ah, but you did feel the need to say so. The console's foreign-language text is working adequately, at least. Excellent.

嘿,我需要的东西说来测试这一点。我想不出别的迅速。

Some poetry, perhaps? Do you know any poetry of your land?

Let the trial come.

Have you something in mind?

[He leans in a little, relatively confident, almost as if he'd challenge a few gods himself, to make things worse.]
This...has the potential to get longer and longer, no?
'If any god has marked me out again for shipwreck, my tough heart can undergo it.' Suits us, doesn't it?

Did they offer you any explanation as to why?

[She believed him, of course, because she had no reason to suspect he was lying.]
I have never encountered a machine exploding before that was not either malfunctioning or purposely programmed to do so.
