[Console] (Video) ❅ The Second
(A length of cloth is resting on Alayne's knees and she is busy stitching. The sound of thread being pulled through, tightened and then piercing the cloth again can be heard by the keen of hearing.)
Dresses of a Southern make are far more difficult for me to stitch. (Her pink lips purse and she bites off a thread with her teeth.) I fear, should the weather warm, I will be incredibly uncomfortable in wool. Yet silken fabrics are notoriously difficult to piece together. They leave no room for mistakes - even slight ones.
(Sucking on one of her fingers, her brow furrows. It isn't common for her to stab her fingers. Septa Mordane would know something is amiss with her. Yet her dear Septa is long dead.)
I heard some strange noises on the street. I'm certain someone grabbed my skirt, but I didn't stay long enough to look.
(Therein lies the problem.)
Could they follow me to my room?

Re: audio;
Not exactly, but the end result will be the same.
You're new here, aren't you?

Re: audio;
In front of the Hotel is fine. Don't call me ser, either. Bakura is fine.
audio; -> action;
Very well, Bakura. I shall be there shortly.
(With a cloak draped around her shoulders and her hood obscuring her features, Alayne waits for him, gaze darting around warily.)
action;
You never gave your name.
[ He knows it; he went back and found her arrival post, because he doesn't go into any situation where he can't engineer an advantage for himself. But he'll still let her introduce herself properly... she does seem to have a thing for the proper manners. ]
action;
I am Alayne Stone. (She will resist touching his hair, yes she will.) What is your name?
Re: action;
Bakura.
[ He gives her a once over, taking in the dress and cloak, and even the way she carries herself. If her speech and apparel are anything to go by, she's certainly come from a world where status was important. ]
The incident in Fire aside, how are you finding things here?
action;
(So the experience is...fresh. Strange.)
Re: action;
[ It wasn't a baseless compliment, either. There was more good sense that he'd suspected than straight fear in her returning to the Hotel to tell others of what had happened while she was out. Experience could be gained; lack of good instincts could not be. As they walked back towards the Fire Sector, he matched his pace to hers so she wouldn't need to rush. ]
Tell me about what you were doing when what happened earlier took place. Try and recall as much detail as you can.
action;
I was walking by an alleyway after visiting the cafe and I heard footsteps. (And since she has been in situations like that before, she didn't look behind her.) I walked faster and that was when I heard a weapon being drawn.
(Some sort of blade.)
One of them must have grabbed my skirt because I felt the tug and nearly lost my balance. There was laughter and, as soon as I was free, I ran back to the Hotel.
Re: action;
[ That's just how Bakura sees it anyway, and he does have a large portion of life experience on rough streets to go by. ]
Your best course of action would be to do something to make them think twice about it. Something to give them a good scare; word gets around among people here.
action;
(She peers into the shadows, the flickering fire giving her just enough light to see by.)
Nothing that incites violence, I hope?
Re: action;
That'd be the opposite of what we'd want, isn't it?
