It seems that not all of Malicant's influence is gone from Tu Vishan. [she takes a deep breath] I spoke with someone who claimed to be one of his worshipers. Now I know that claiming to be one and actually being one are two different things, but I spoke with this person after they attempted to steal a soul gem.

[She presses her fingers to her forehead and closes her eyes, as if trying to warn off a headache]

For those of you who remember the cultists, you know how dangerous they were. She also warned that they 'haven't forgotten Malicant' and that we foreigners would 'pay for killing him.' Either the cultists are connected with the muggings, or someone wants us to believe that they are. Either way, someone is using Malicant's name to gather power.

This, paired with other recent events, leads me to believe that it is not the Chihuelans that are responsible for the muggings. Something else is going on here.

You know, for once I'd just like to hear some good news on the Shell. Like maybe how suddenly unicorn dragons have magically come with pretty rainbows to give everyone lots of money and magical happiness. Why can't that ever happen?

So, truth be told, I'm significantly more disturbed by the fact that whoever is stealing soul gems is simply handing them back after they're done with them. Given how many times they tried to kill us, that doesn't exactly sound like cultist logic, if you ask me.

If you recall, Malicant's plan wasn't to destroy us, it was to gain access to our worlds through us. Besides, we killed their god, I don't think that they plan to give us an easy death. She said that we would pay, not that we would die.

But that being beside the point. What exactly is the difference here? Somehow, by saying that we're going to pay, I doubt they mean, "Oh, here's our bill for 100,000 juulan. Please pay it before you leave the Shell."

There are things worse than death, Sokka...But it isn't just us that the cultists wish to punish, it is all of Keeliai.
