Khroma was keeping an eye on Alexei for me, yes. We ..have been friends, from before the war. [ She isn't past tense for Yuri, he caught himself in time, right? ]

[Fortunately for Duke, Yuri assumes that the past tense refers to not working for Alexei anymore since... well... the commandant did meet his end just before Yuri got here. But he does pick up on the tone. He'd touched a nerve, maybe?]

I didn't think Entelexeia were the friendly type. Well, except one anyway.

Then at his normal rather flat tone- ]

Of course, as there have been hunts for Apatheia, one can hardly blame them for not being willing to associate with those who would kill them for power.

Isn't one of the symptoms of healing worthy head trauma not making sense? And believing that arguing that a race hunted by humans should be friendly towards them would make little sense..

Yeah well, you'd think that but some people do some pretty crazy things. I don't think healing would have done Alexei any good.
