[There's surprise in his voice, despite that being a well-known fact among the Foreigners. The only gem to be pegged as 'different' after the muggings so far was Zatanna's, and she hadn't experienced any ill effects - she'd just sensed that something was wrong.]

[He wasn't sure the first time but now that it's happened again he's pretty darn sure it's the gem.]

I was really dizzy. The room was spinning and I couldn't stay on my feet. And uh... yeah lunch was kinda pointless.

[ Wow, rude, why would Duke offer something that would poison someone. He would be more blunt - go eat some foxglove and bother him no more. Or something.

Another pause, although when he starts talking again, its more like he's thinking at the same time.

This could be read as "he's healed you once, he wouldn't mind healing you again." ]

... Simply put, I would rather you were capable of picking a fight with anyone you pleased, and if loss was an option it should be a matter of luck or skill, rather than... something not to do with the opponent. ... Even if you would consider me someone to pick a fight with.
