Yes and no.

I can sense when things are off. Like if your stone is corrupted or if there's some sort of spell cast over it, or things like that. But something tells me I wouldn't be able to tell you anything you don't already know.

Based on my experience with screwing up magically...it probably means they're getting more and more desperate. Trying more challenging rituals, with little regard for how big a change it results in.

Realistically? ...it could be as many as the entire Foreign population. We're the only ones with true Soul Gems.
