5th Kill ~ Audio / [RADIO]
[On the morning of the 18th, anyone with a radio may hear it crackle into life with the voice of Shay Cormac.]
Good morning, uh... This question may seem a wee bit odd, but... does anyone here have experience in sailing a snow-rigged ship? Also, are there any safe ports on our turtle?

I have more practical experience crewing...liuetenanting a war dragon, but it seemed similar enough in terms of the mechanics, besides the fact it's in the sky and you can actually speak to the vessel in question. But I know maneuvers that ought to cross over. Iskierka and I worked together here for several months, not longer, but I would be willing. As for ports...
[That one is a lot trickier.]
There have been ships before, but I was never quite involved. I've heard them mentioned so I can assume but I've also no idea if anyone here likes us quite enough for that.
Radio:
As for ports, I guess we may have to sail around for safe harbour.
Radio:
And the second...doable enough. I am not actually sure, anymore, how many of the corps are left but even were it down to me, I can tell you a fair bit about the topography of....
[There's a moment where his voice is fading out a little, and the sound of flipping pages of something and...]
It's not complete but there ARE some notes about natural features, recorded by someone with a far more exhaustive mind to detail than anyone else I know. That may help, in theory.
Radio:
[And he's going to go ahead and give out the directions.]
Radio:
radio;
Ah. You've found a ship.
[It's not a large intuitive leap to make. Captain Amelia found a ship that was ostensibly capable of space travel while she was here; practically anything is possible at this point.]
The short answer is yes, so long as you have some experience sailing a snow-rigged ship. The last one we had could fly, though, so there isn't a readily available port. You'll have to find one. That should get easier over time if we don't find a way to stop the turtle from sinking.
radio;
[And a pause, there.]
Well, then. Looks like we'll need to go around the turtle to find safe harbour.

Wait, what? What's this we? We're grounded, if you recall.

[And he's not going to ask if the information isn't volunteered.]
Radio:
You're shitting me.
[And he even sounds grudgingly impressed there.]
Radio:
[He would, but that's beside the point.]
A man's vessel is nothing to be joked around with.
Radio:
Oh I have my suspicions.
Ah, vessels . Those must be treated with the utmost care, true.
[You CAN almost hear the smirk, can't you? Still, all jokes aside...]
Congratulations, then. I'll have to meet her at some point.

As a navigational computer, I have a vast array of knowledge in maneuvering many different vehicles of travel. Is there any way I might be of assistance?

[She understood the literal definition of the word. She also understood that, more often than not, it carried a range of variations to said definition. Safe, as in permission granted. Safe, as in lacking the thread of harm. Safe, as in this person/these people I am personally attempting to avoid are not currently present.]

Oh my gosh, Shay, do you have a ship, you didn't say you had a ship, or that you could sail, that is so cool, are you a pirate?
no subject
[A pause.]
No, I'm not a pirate.

[She's only a little disappointed - maybe he'll cheer up now that he's got his baby back. Men and their vehicles, it never changes.]
I've never been on a ship that didn't fly though, can I come see it? Pleeeeeeeease?
