010 ≠ ( CONSOLE | VIDEO ) backdated to June 16th
[ For all he likes to snark comment on other people's posts, Bakura hardly makes any of his own, and as such, this is the first one in several months.
He's sporting an impressive bruise on one side of his face, and looking suitably rumpled. There are also small traces of wispy black shadow clinging to him, and to the edge of the video frame, all of which he ignores. ]
Dojo's closed for today and tomorrow. Hebnay, sefatjiw, you can pick up your pay on the weekend instead.

[She actually appeared visibly relieved, for several reasons.]
So you weren't attacked for your soul gem too. It was...a sparring accident, I'm guessing?
Re: video
Nothing like that. And not so much sparring, as one of my Spells got out of hand. They backfire quite spectacularly, as you can tell.
[ He doesn't look particularly upset about it, nor especially embarrassed to admit that failure despite the result. He'd like to see anyone else do what he could with Shadow Magic. ]
I suppose if it had been you, you'd have just given the Spell a stern lecture and browbeat it into working.
video
You can't lecture a Spell. Only the person casting it.
[Not for the first time, it dawned on her how accustomed she was to speaking of such fanciful things so casually. Even if she used no magic of her own, it was becoming more and more a part of her daily life.]
And I can't browbeat anybody into doing anything. You would know that better than anyone.
Re: video
Wouldn't I know that you never lack for trying, though. Still, I'd pay good juulan to see you try and self-righteous yourself into a successful summon. Hell, it'd even work on some of the more uptight ones.
video
I'm not self-righteous. [She almost huffed, but managed to keep her composure.] You keep calling me things I'm not. Why? Is it because I don't agree with you?
Re: video
As for why, because that's what your actions say you are, and you haven't given me anything better to describe you by.
You like to pass judgment on people, regardless of how little you know about them. If you don't consider that self-righteous, I could find a less pleasant adjective for it.
video
Where I cam from, you had to learn to judge people quickly. Figure out who was a friend, and who was a threat. Which mean first impressions have always been important to me.
Call it what you want. I'm not going to apologize for the fact that you made a really bad one...and have yet to prove me wrong.

[--and closed it, biting her tongue. Hard. Her face visibly winced when a particularly sharp tooth nearly draw blood. The price she paid for stopping herself from making too snappy of a comeback.]
You did.
[She hadn't forgotten. It was the main reason she continue to speak to him at all.]
But that doesn't mean you get to keep insulting me all the time.
Re: video
[ Perhaps that was the problem in simplest terms. Bakura didn't consider the way he spoke to her to be an insult -- his were usually far more barbed -- and she apparently did. He broke off his disbelief with a scoff instead. ]
Never mind. Anything else?
video
[If the dull look she sent him in return--You just proved my point--was any indication.]
No, I think I've learned everything I'm going to from this conversation.
And I'm glad you weren't attacked for your soul gem.
[He was welcome to interpret the motives behind her relief as he wished.]
