I regret to inform you all that it seems Miss Lazuli has returned to her world.

For those who were her friends, I am deeply sorry.

[There's a moment where he shifts, eyes flicking downwards, but he's back to his usual attentive self in a moment.]

This may make things with the upcoming move tricky - while I'm informed that the tidal surge will be more than enough to dislodge Tu Vishan, Miss Lazuli was one of our primary movers.

I would ask then for anyone who has control of the elements of wind or water to lend your aid in keeping the turtle as steady as possible. I would also ask for help in ensuring buildings are structurally secure. We suffered some minor issues during the primary move, and while I don't foresee disaster, it is better to be safe than sorry.

When the time comes for landfall, any aid in anchoring would also be much appreciated.

[Skulduggery shrugs his bony shoulders.] We've defeated Malicant. Most of us have probably defeated something similar in our own worlds. Compared to that, holding off some angry locals should be a piece of cake.

[He sounds confident, at least. Bravado, or experience? With Skulduggery, it's sometimes difficult to tell.

He thinks about it for a moment, then:] Yes. Not to a stop, but with enough help I can make sure we don't hit land hard enough to dislodge the city.

Ah, it's not the ease of the matter that would be the issue. I simply don't want an unnecessary fight breaking out.

It would be much appreciated. I think a sudden stop would be just as bad as crashlanding.

Technically, all fights are unnecessary. If one starts, it won't be your fault, and we'll do what we can to minimise injury.

[On the Foreigners' part, any fights breaking out would very likely only be in self-defence - even if it's ill-advised and poorly perceived self-defence. The trouble is that the Foreigners know they won't permanently die; it gives them a natural advantage plenty of people would be more than happy to take advantage of.]

Is there a time frame for the tidal surge?

I have no arguments there. Regardless, I'd prefer we not instigate something that can readily be avoided.

I believe it's to come in the later quarter of the month. Hopefully our preparations will be complete by then.

[There's a slight pause. Honestly, that's much longer than Skulduggery was expecting. Usually he only finds out about these things less than a week before they're slated to happen. Three whole weeks to prepare sounds too good to be true.]

I can't see why they wouldn't be. Let me know if you need any help before then, particularly with Elemental-related things. Let's hope the tidal wave doesn't grow very suddenly the night before it hits.
