[Good evening, Keeliai, have your first Damian-as-Robin post. And, yes, it is the slightly different Robin voice, too.]
Considering the level of technology here, there was an item I found on the Mainland that might, I suppose, belong to one of the foreigners. It certainly doesn't match anything native, especially with the organic component in the consoles.
It is a laptop with a glowing symbol on it, and if anyone has something like that, back home, let me know.
[Yes, the specifics of the symbol are left out on purpose. Damian has to have a way to check if the item really does belong to the person who might answer.]

Then what kind of person are you?

I want to hear it from you.

[Then, a thought occurs to her: he'd called the other boy 'her Robin'.]
How'd you know Robin and I were from the same world?
no subject
[Both.]
[... and then he presses a few keys to make the connection Bat-crypted. Because.]
Kid Flash. He responded to both of you.

[She thought about his answer for a moment, then nodded.]
A lot of people seem to know a "Zatanna". For all you know, it could've been another mixup. [Testing you now.]
now video; still anonymous; still strongly batcrypted.
You haven't known him very long, have you.
[It's a guess. But one that he is rather certain in. Because... because Grayson can make a guess as to what is going on in his head even better than Damian can himself, and he has no doubt the other version shares that. Especially since the conversations they have had.]
And among those who answered over the network and seem to know a Zatanna, he was the only one who did not expect you to be older. As in older than him, even.
been video; still thinks you're overly paranoid
[No matter how good he might've been at "guessing", however, that still didn't change her opinion of a first-hand account.]
Oh, please. This is Kid Flash. He was too busy pretending to flirt. I could've showed up with green hair, and he wouldn't've noticed. [A joke. Because she knew Wally hadn't actually been serious and would've noticed green hair.]
Very astute observation.
So... I've actually known him - this one - longer than you have.
[Huh.]
[Annnd Damian stares.]
And that... makes a difference when it comes to who he will recognize or not?
[He hasn't had first-hand experience with West back home, when they talked here flirting wasn't a thing, and - well. Even with Grayson, that hasn't been much of a distraction. Se he's... kind of confused by that. Not for long, because he crosses his arms with a >Tt.< - but the reaction is still there.]
no subject
If it's true he's really been here as long as he has...then, yeah, I guess.
[She gives a fairly casual shrug. The whole concept of relative time was still giving her a headache. Best not to dwell on that sort of thing.]
Oh, you'd be surprised how easily he can distract himself from certain things.
no subject
He has been.
[Come on, it is not that difficult. ... actually, just ask the Doctor.]
Not all things, though.
no subject
I'm still not entirely sure how that's possible.
['Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey' is not an explanation.]
It would've been enough for an initial conversation. My point is, you've been listening in, haven't you?
no subject
One of the options is time working differently here and there - like in a dream. Another may be that this is not actually real at all - there are technical and magical means both to achieve an effect similar to what is here. There are other possibilities, as well, if you really look for them.
[Damian is not very big on 'impossible,' really.
... of course not. That is the description, the explanation has a lot more words in it.]
[And Robin stills for a moment, then shrugs.]
I listen to most public conversations, here.
no subject
[She might be willing to believe the notion of time moving differently, if it hadn't been for Wally seemingly coming from the future. That was what really threw her off.]
...that's kind of rude, you know.
no subject
[... well, there are people coming from WWII. And a random knight in a shining armor. If it's Wally that throws her off, she can suit herself.]
It's practical.
[Not bothered by being called rude at all.]
no subject
I can't say I'm all that surprised...but it's still rude.
no subject
Why?
