edgeoftheknife: no really, according to Saracen that is actually what she said. (that's what SHE said)

[console | video/action] it's too late, tonight

[When the video signs in, it's not Erskine sitting at the console like usual. There's no one sitting at the console, in fact, but there's a fleeting glimpse of Anton, who turned on the video, before he moves aside. And then the reason for Anton turning on the video becomes obvious.

Erskine is in the middle of the Hotel lobby, holding a broom, and using it like a microphone. And he's belting out U2's Pride (In the Name of Love) with enthusiasm. Dancing around. Bending against the "microphone" at the really emotional bits. Hitting the screamy parts. And he actually sounds pretty darn good, considering the fact that he's one step shy of roaring drunk.

Valdis shows up in the video for a moment, dancing with him and laughing, and Raine can be spotted in the far corner facepalming and trying to pretend she doesn't know these dorks. They are all, for the record, wearing glittery party hats.

And any kedan or Foreigners that happen to wander by are getting personally serenaded.]

I don't particularly mind them. Is that what you were singing?

Perhaps a little of both? I'm told my tastes in music are a bit old fashioned.

I'll be there shortly. I'd not want to miss any of your musical renditions.

I've a great love of Antonio Vivaldi's compositions. The same goes for Claudio Monteverdi. More contemporary artists I enjoy are Edith Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.

What of you, Mr Ravel? Any particular favourites?

It seems we share a number of favourites in the classical department. But ahh, there are many modern musicians who are remarkable. I've just never been able to get into rock and roll, I'm afraid.

[Totally was - Erskine defies all expectations!]

Ah, I hope you get a chance to enjoy the innovations in music. There have been some truly remarkable artists.
purered: (But of course)

[Ersk don't make that face.]

Mr Stark was kind enough to charge my phone and laptop. I have some music on there, though none of it is rock and roll. Would that be agreeable?

I was just leaving a cafe when I was pulled here.

I can speculate on worse things to have to listen to, but I have no issues with you borrowing it.

Do I even want to know?

[Ersk, pls]

Of course. It's there whenever you want it.

You are most welcome, Mr Ravel.
