Well, I thought I was blacking out for a moment there... quite a strange feeling. And it looks like I've been gone for some months. I should have left a note, but I didn't expect that I'd be... well, whatever happens to those of us who leave and return.

For those of you I haven't met, my name is Iroh. I used to serve tea around here. And a few other things.

[and he is -- the Welcome Center has plenty for Iroh to keep himself busy]

Some time later, Zuko comes walking into the Welcome Center, and picks Iroh out immediately.

"Uncle!"

He calls out with a wave before walking over. Yes, Zuko does look a bit different. Especially with that small pair of red feathered wings on his back there.

"Hello, Nephew." Well, that is now question number one. Iroh doesn't even know how one would get wings back home. "Shall we find somewhere or shall we speak as we walk?"

[lordhotman]

"I can take you to where I'm staying. There's enough room there. It's a little far though, so we can talk as we walk."

So with that, Zuko will lead the way out of the Welcome Center and through the streets toward the Sky Sector.

"I'm really glad you're here, Uncle. I was starting to think I wouldn't even see anyone from home again."

[whitelotustile]

"Have you been here long?" Iroh asked, considering how best to inquire about the changes he had observed.

[lordhotman]

"Two months now, but before that I was somewhere else. Another world kind of like this one but different. I was there for a year."

[whitelotustile]

Iroh isn't sure how all of this adds up. iroh doesn't particularly care at this point, however. "Like this one in that people arrive from other worlds?" he guessed. Well, if the former Emperor had the means and the desire to bring others here, she couldn't be the only one in this many words.

[lordhotman]

"Yeah, exactly. I was brought there by an organization called the Malnosso, and they kept us in an enclosure called Luceti. They gave us these wings."

Zuko jabs a thumb towards his back. You know, in cause you hadn't noticed yet Iroh. But yeah, he talks about the wings easily, as if they were just a part of life.

That... well, that was odd. They didn't even look large enough to be functional without some form of lift. Which firebending could provide, if one was strong enough.

"They... forgive me for worrying, but did they treat you well?"

BEcause the sort of people who did unwilling body modification were not the sort of people Iroh trusted.
