[When the video feed begins, there is a redhead frowning at the screen.]

As far as planets go, this isn't the worst place I've been to. Though I suppose this hardly counts as a planet.

[The frown deepens, and it's obvious that he is struggling to wrap his head around the fact that he has found himself here on a turtle and it's difficult to grasp.]

However, there are some deep-seated issues in this city that should be addressed. How do you expect to have any sort of progress when this place is so divided? There is strength in unity, which all of you seem to fail to see. Instead of competing with one another for power, wealth, and resources, it would be much more logical for all of you to fall in line. Some who have power and autonomy do not always deserve it, and are too feeble-minded for it. Should they cast their support in favour of those who are fit to lead, there will no longer be chaos.

If you're honest with yourself, you can admit that it's what's best for any society.

If you'd taken the droid instead of the girl, we'd be in a completely different situation. Better yet, this would have been entirely preventable if you'd killed the pilot after you interrogated him. If you're able to find everything you need in his head, there was no point in letting him live.

[His scowl deeps, as he barely shakes his head.]

Nevermind that. Where are you?

[If he doesn't get an answer, he'll just track Ren to his present location. Or rather, the present location of his belt.]

[The belt which he happens to be wearing. He is very attached to his few meagre possessions... which is to say, they are all he has. There is only so much "acquiring" you dare do while under the watchful eye of what might be a whole horde of Jedi.]

I'm not going to tell you where I am if you are just going to come here and keep harping about that kriffing droid!

[He makes an angry little noise at the back of his throat and crosses his arms.] And for your information, I let the pilot live since I was not done with him! But very well, next time I will terminate our prisoners after I have picked the first useful snippet of information from their heads and let everything they know about the Resistance go to waste.

[He throws himself back in the chair, not even caring anymore that he is reduced to sulking. He does feel like sulking. First the scavenger arrives, then Hux in as fine a mood as ever and Shudder is still breathing down his neck about his debts... It's just too much at once.]

[Hux pinches the bridge of his nose. It's one thing to argue with Ren in person, and another to do it over a console. Somehow the latter is even more frustrating, but he has to admit that there's no point in arguing about their failings.

They've done it ad nauseum already, and it's not going to undo what's already been done. Fortunately, Hux is capable of being slightly more mature.]

Kylo-- [His tone is testing, as if using Ren's first name is supposed to have a greater impact or something. He's trying really hard to be patient.] I need you to bring me up to speed so we can regroup, and I'd rather not do it through this.

[no_light]

[The attempt at faux friendliness is noted, and not particularly appreciated, as the answering snarl shows. He doesn't like being patronized, thank you very much.]

Fine. [But he isn't in the mood to be quarrelling over the console, either, mostly since he's racked up enough debt without needing to replace a console.] I'm in the Midnight Hotel, room 14. Since you are so knowledgeable about this city I'm certain you will have no trouble finding it.

[Hux can't win with him. Why does he have to work with someone who is such a child?]

For once, I agree with you. I will be there shortly.
