1. console: video
[When the video feed begins, there is a redhead frowning at the screen.]
As far as planets go, this isn't the worst place I've been to. Though I suppose this hardly counts as a planet.
[The frown deepens, and it's obvious that he is struggling to wrap his head around the fact that he has found himself here on a turtle and it's difficult to grasp.]
However, there are some deep-seated issues in this city that should be addressed. How do you expect to have any sort of progress when this place is so divided? There is strength in unity, which all of you seem to fail to see. Instead of competing with one another for power, wealth, and resources, it would be much more logical for all of you to fall in line. Some who have power and autonomy do not always deserve it, and are too feeble-minded for it. Should they cast their support in favour of those who are fit to lead, there will no longer be chaos.
If you're honest with yourself, you can admit that it's what's best for any society.

[Valdis appears on screen, her emerald eyes bright and her fair features carefully curious. She's also beautiful and she knows it.]
Do you have an idea for a leader? I mean, you've been here so long, I'm certain that you have enough of a grasp on the situation to have a suggestion?
Video
Specifically? No.
[He shrugs.]
Whoever proves to be adept and able to consolidate the most power. Regardless of how long I've been here, that's already painfully obvious.

Unity is not so easily achieved, as you seem to be claiming. Not when there are a great variety of species, cultures, and universes represented in so relatively small an area.

What a marvelous proposal.
[He is utterly straight-faced, and sounds perfectly sincere. He has, in fact, put on every single one of his aristocratic airs. Being former Archadian upper crust had some advantages.]
We could certainly use a man of your expertise in these trying times. How would you suggest going about this?
video;
And as far as he's concerned, everyone here has that potential.]
I don't know. Battle Royale?
[Of course, he would never actually consider participating in something like that.]

Oh look, here ten minutes and you're already planning on being a dictator. Because that works so well when you're in a new situation.
Perhaps, darling, you should get the lay of the land before starting up your petty dictatorship?
Video
[So what if it was kind of implied? He's also careful about using dictator. There's a certain nuance he's trying to avoid at the moment. Somehow, he even manages not to scrunch his face at the diminutive.]
It's not petty when it's a legitimate suggestion. Sometimes it takes an outsider to take an objective look at a situation, and in that case I'm in a prime position to do so.

[Pepper tries to make friends with most of the people she meets, but she doesn't like this guy right off the bat. Especially because she's doing her darndest to help the kedan build their own government, and here he's basically suggesting another empire. Uh uh.]
Who's been spitting in your bean curd?
[Thank you, Disney movies.]

Ew.
[He doesn't know how to make friends, and he's not even sure how to handle this conversation.]

[Either he's forgotten that his end of the line is open, or he doesn't care.
[Either way. Laughing. It's only partly amused. It's almost like a sick joke, given the beliefs of the institution he used to be part of.]
Why don't you just kill them while you're at it?
[Apparently: Not forgotten.]

What do you find funny about this?

No, you won't. But you're welcome to the "why a turtle?!" club Kylo might start any day now.
On second thought, Kylo would rather not have you ruin everything good he has. And by the way, this is his turtle. Get your own, you turtle thief!]
I know giving grandiose speeches is an innate instinct and you can't help it, but if the gangs are going to murder you over this don't expect me to do more than stand by and watch. Well, I might make a recording for the Supreme Leader's enjoyment.
[In case you missed it, someone is very cheerful, for, you know, being turtle-napped.]

Hux actually isn't sure whether he's glad or irritated that apparently Kylo Ren has found his way onto this turtle too. It means neither of them are doing what they need to be doing for the First Order.
Ren, how dare you slack on your duties?]
What a superb idea, as I'm sure Leader Snoke would be most pleased. How do you expect to get it to him?
[He's not afraid of gang retaliation, and he doesn't think Ren will leave him for dead. At least, not until he's no longer useless to the First Order.]
Maybe next time you get beaten up by a girl, I'll leave you to die.

She's quite sure she saw some similar to that when she was traipsing around Starkiller Base
after having successfully evaded Ren's torture chair.Nevertheless, she's not going to assume anything quite yet, and will simply watch him over video with a scrutinizing eye. ]
I assume you're casting a vote for yourself as being one of those who are 'fit to lead', in this case?
And really, you haven't seen many planets if you can be so discerning about a place as varied and lovely as this. [ because yes, the turtle thing is strange, but there's rainfall! humidity! she loves it and it makes her hair curl, even just being close to the port at Hatal. ] There are worlds in the Western Reaches where even the hardiest of plants have to struggle to live.
video;
He's not sure what's going on, but he doesn't like it. He also doesn't like that Rey is apparently alive. Hux had been so certain (or hopeful, rather), that he was leaving Rey and FN-2187 for dead when he rescued Ren... ]
It's difficult to say how qualified I am in comparison to any other potential candidates at the moment.
[He definitely thinks he's the most qualified.]
I'd say that you have low standards, but it's unsurprising.

Unity can't be forced. People cooperate because they choose to, whether or not there's a leader at the heart of it all.
[After all, the Rebel Alliance continued on after his second "death" on the Death Star. He gathered together a group of people who, by all appearances, shouldn't get along, yet get along they did.]
Video
He glances at the symbol behind Galen, but most of his focus on the man himself.]
Choice is a fickle thing that most are better without.
[Which is ironic, especially for someone who didn't choose to be on a turtle.]
