No, not speak. That doesn't really help any, with everything always being translated for us. More like...read. I was wondering...what languages everyone here can read? Since written words have never been translated. Not since I've been here.

The smartest people I've ever known here are the ones who are willing to admit what they don't know, or never experienced.

I figure there is nothing to gain by ignorance. Only when I went out into the universe did I realize how little I know, despite being incredibly intelligent.

You must have been able to learn a lot, though, getting to travel the stars.

I can only imagine how much information and knowledge would be out there.

Especially about people. I will not pretend like I am an expert, but... it was nice to find out some different perspectives on the world. To see things in a new light, as it were.

You could say the same thing about here, really.

It might not be traveling in space, but...there used to be all different lands we visited. And the ocean floor. And then there's the different people here. Most of them come from different worlds, and it shows. They react differently to different things. And they know things others might not.

I would like it if we could find a way to make that happen again. I've heard of people attempting to wake the turtle... part of me wants them to be successful.
