[ that's a simple question for a projection, right? ]

I mean, my friend and I...well we're new.

[ which hopefully will give her some type of leniency with others (though she is doubtful and can only smile somewhat awkwardly because of it) ]

...and I guess we would just like some type of idea what we’re up against here, or maybe where we're all coming from.

[ it's a vague question, and one that she isn't fully sure she will like the answer of. but at least it is something that might get them closer to understanding this whole mess. because lets face it, the natives aren't exactly the most helpful of people. ]

They all seem to be extremely vague from what I've gathered. [ especially for someone like her, and it only had her more frustrated than she cared to admit. ]

But yeah, I did manage to get the basics out of them. [ not that she fully buys any of it (because it's a dream) but hey, it was something, right? ] I just didn't think I needed to ask about Turtles.

The peculiarities of turtle-translation mapped his word for 'world,' in this case, to planet--which is what he was referencing. As a result, he just frowns.]

I'm... not entirely sure how to answer that.

But if you haven't, then rest assured, we don't have giant turtles like this there--to the best of my knowledge.

A legend that there were people who came to our planet [his word is 'world,' but again, turtle translation] from elsewhere. They couldn't get back again, and it's not clear how they arrived. They just... appeared.
