I'm going to need someone to explain the metrics of this place without mentioning the giant turtle. Before you ask; yes, I have seen it. Though seeing it does little to convince me of its authenticity. I'd never get very far if I took everything at face value.

I can explain some of the metrics of this place. Mostly I've been concerned with robotics and haven't concerned myself with other matters, but I did go onto shore at the last "landfall".

A different civilization with a more advanced level of technology than the local kedan have. We have some of their people here, the kin'nal.

Although I can tell you, from experience, if you have something new, don't lose it. I lost my 'necklace' when I first got here. It was extremely unpleasant.

...there's this communications system, and a monorail. People seemed pretty excited about the monorail, so I assume it was worse off before I came here.

The facilities at the College are adequate, I suppose. But the other Foreigners' technology is much more interesting than the native stuff.
