I'm going to need someone to explain the metrics of this place without mentioning the giant turtle. Before you ask; yes, I have seen it. Though seeing it does little to convince me of its authenticity. I'd never get very far if I took everything at face value.
That being said, Discussions on Science and verifiable facts only. if you intend to talk magic don't bother responding. Your input isn't needed.

Okay yeah, I can write in English.
Anyway, I doubt you'll get a straight answer out of anyone. We Foreigners don't know because none of the natives of this place will give anything resembling a straight answer.
I will say though, based on my own experiences, science and magic have a weird way of blending together. People are always way too eager to assume one or the other, when they're almost always the same thing. I've had exposure to technology that people still think is magic, and can't adequately explain how it works.

Good for you.
Magic that you can explain with science isn't magic. It's just science.

A verifiable fact is that people appear and disappear here, entirely without warning. I suspect localized wormholes, since warp pads don't seem to exist here.

Wormholes.
[ ...Okay. If the wormholes can be proven with science then he supposes that he can work with that. Maybe. ]
Wormholes aren't too common where I'm from-Usually only see them in Science Fiction.

How did you 'see' the turtle, exactly?

[And some of it is a lot weirder, but, hey, baby steps.]
what do you want to know?
[And he almost leaves it at that, but... A few seconds later, another text message follows.]
wait, so, you've seen the turtle and you don't believe in it? what do you think it is?

I suppose you couldn't possibly know anything about me but the first thing you'll learn is that I have a passion for Definite and Exact Knowledge. I'm well aware that Magic explained by science is purely science. Saying something is magic is a poor and lazy way to go about an explanation and why I don't wish to speak with anyone willing to provide such a lazy answer.
And that said, Yes, I saw the turtle with my own eyes-no I don't believe it's a real turtle. Show me the x-ray and I may be willing to talk. The second thing you'll learn is that I don't theorize without data. Otherwise one is led to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.

What I classify as magic is a phenomeon that happens that one can't logically explain or otherwise doesn't understand. Everything explained with logic and reason no matter how 'magical' it might seem.

Further, I see you have the same misconception of magic that some others have. I define magic as the manipulation of specific energies by primarily mental means, to achieve a result not typically available by a person's physical power alone. Here, the term 'magic' is not typically used for that which can't be explained, but rather as a broad catch-all for any of those energy manipulations.
It is both observable and reproducible. I'm happy to demonstrate, if you like, but dismissing it out of hand is refusing to acknowledge a good portion of this world.
