Text.

I'm going to need someone to explain the metrics of this place without mentioning the giant turtle. Before you ask; yes, I have seen it. Though seeing it does little to convince me of its authenticity. I'd never get very far if I took everything at face value.

That being said, Discussions on Science and verifiable facts only. if you intend to talk magic don't bother responding. Your input isn't needed.

A detective. I see.

[Raine has long been familiar with detectives.]

Currently, Tu Vishan -- the turtle -- is resting adjacent to a continent called Ioa Elanag, which is some ways in the north of this planet. Typically, Tu Vishan swims according to his whims, following the currents of the oceans. This world is called Konryu; it seems to exist in such a way that all of our disparate worlds can connect to it, despite not being connected to each other. Metaphysically, think of it as the center of a wheel, perhaps, save on a much grander scale.

Does that begin to answer your question?

Yes. However, note that in this case I do not use the words 'world' and 'planet' interchangeably. This is both a different planet and a different world.

In that case, please don't hesitate to ask if I use a term in a way with which you're unfamiliar. We come from very different backgrounds, after all.

Tu Vishan travels at his whim, yes. I'm told that some time before I came here, he did dive once. At the time there was a shielding system to protect the city; I don't know if that still exists, but he hasn't shown any inclination to repeat the behavior. He does sleep, and has only recently woken up. I haven't personally witnessed eating, but he must come by energy somehow. However, given that he survived comatose for several months without other evident support, it's possible he draws his nutrition from elsewhere.

Some. How quickly do you learn new languages?

From the writing alone? Speech is the only thing that's automatically translated here. I'm fortunate in that my native tongue resembles English enough it was easy to make the written leap.

Very well. Then it may be to your interest to visit the University library. Keep in mind that there are enough dialects to provide some confusion.
