video;
[Costigan is looking about as chipper as ever. Which is to say not at all.]
I was here before. I don't remember, but I know I was.
[There's a short pause before he continues.]
I have a list of names. If anyone knows them, or if you are them, contact me. I'll, uh- I'll write them in below.
Also if anyone has information on Eshai or Evandau. I think they were important.
[Another pause, then he reaches forward to click off the video and the list follows.]

[Mental injuries or illnesses are not her strong point, but...]
There are options, yes. I may wind up directing you to my colleague, Suhiet; still, between us we should be able to find you a solution.
You should likely come to the Healers' Guild, however.

There. Let me know when you plan to go, so I can be sure to meet you.
action okay?
more than fine!
[And in about an hour she will be, making her way out to the main hall. She's a bit distracted, her eyes distant as she thinks about something else entirely, but she's there.]

Hey. You remember we talked earlier? [He glances around to ensure they won't be overheard.] I need medication.

[Raine nods, then gestures behind her.]
My office? There are a few herbs I can likely prescribe you, but I'd like to know a little more first. For instance, if your issue is chronic or only appearing when exacerbated.

He hovers behind the chair he's probably meant to sit in, finding it easier to stand.] It's both. I've had it a long time, a long fuckin' time. It gets worse when shit gets worse.

All right. How was it managed in the past? A constant dosage regardless, or did you have the option to take something more when distressed?
And do you find a tea an acceptable format?
[There are other options, but a tea is the simplest, really.]

[He replies as if vaguely exasperated, trying to keep things on an even keel. He's half hoping that she doesn't actually know what those are. It's easy for him to sound like an addict when he says it like that, even though he's not. Hell, Costigan hasn't been in a non-stressful situation in years to know if he even could live without the medications anymore. This place isn't helping that.]
I don't normally drink tea. Can you do pills, or powder?

The names mean nothing to me; I'm inquiring after methodology. However, you've answered my question nevertheless.
[Fletch would have known.]
It's possible, but it will take a little longer, that's all.

[Costigan's fingers find the smaller pill bottle in his pocket, the pad of his thumb running over the ridges on the lid's edge. He doesn't have too many between this and the stash with his things, but hopefully it'll be enough.]
One's an anti-anxiety and the other's a painkiller. [He says finally, worried that if he doesn't clarify, he'll only get some cheap anxiety meds that won't do anything for him at all.] The painkiller helps with some old injuries.

I'll review my Earth-native colleagues's notes and see if I can find corollaries for strength.
[And if it's a painkiller as well, she'll have to watch the interactions.]
Do you happen to know what type of painkiller it is?
[Easier to work with what his body's already accustomed to, if possible.]
no subject
[He repeats, at a loss for what else she might be asking. How does a non-pharmacologist convert prescription medication to something accessible to someone from another world.]
Beyond that, I don't know. If you give me a list of ideas, maybe I can recognize one.
no subject
[Looking to see if types ring a bell. She's assuming no magic was involved.]
Still, Fletch may have left notes. If you don't know, I should be able to manage something anyway; this is simply a matter of fine-tuning and efficiency.

[Although he has reason to lie about it to protect his reputation, his response is sincere. Costigan doesn't actually know for sure what category the drug falls under.]
Confirm if you can. I'll let you know if it's not working. [A beat.] How long you think it'll take to get something?
no subject
[Raine nods. That's about all she'll need for right now.]
A week at the outside; I'll make my best effort to have it sooner than that. Once we've ascertained what works, it will be faster.
no subject
[Costigan straightens, crossing his arms.]
You, uh- You need anything else from me?
no subject
[Raine shakes her head.]
No, that's all. I'll be in touch with you.
no subject
Thanks.
[Then he makes anxiously for the door, evidence of his general neuroses. Hopefully she'll be true to her word. Otherwise, he'll work on making alternate arrangements.]
