Also if anyone has information on Eshai or Evandau. I think they were important.

[Another pause, then he reaches forward to click off the video and the list follows.]

[Hearing a voice she'd heard before wasn't so surprising. Not anymore. Not even the fact that he seemed to know he'd been here before, but couldn't remember. All that would have warranted some interest--maybe even enough to respond--but not quite the reaction that seeing those names on the list brought about. And the memories that went along with them.]

[About any of them. All of them. Give or take. Coming from a voice over the speakers because she couldn't bring herself to show her face just then. Not until the tears stopped.]

I found some.. notes, about them. Notes I think that I made. I want to know who they are.

[There was no hidden meaning or sarcasm behind the statement. She was simply agreeing with him. Which meant she remembered him as well. Or at least remembered that he had been here before.]

Eshai was the Emperor when I first came here. She was killed by Hannibal Lector, and her second-in-command, Evandau, took over. He was killed too. Years ago. By a creature named Malicant, who'd since also been defeated.

I can't vouch for how well, but if I'm remembering my timelines correctly, you were definitely around during his reign.

For the record, we weren't that close. I mostly knew you through Jack. [To her credit, she even kept a neutral tone when speaking his name. Time really did heal.] That's Jack Frost--one of the names on your list. You two were friends.

[The list of names has little meaning. Some are familiar, but most aren't. But one name in particular brings a sense of dread as Valdis still has questions concerning him.]

Evandau is dead.

[Costigan clicks over to audio as well, finding it more comfortable. He has almost no memory of Evandau beyond what's contained in his notes and yet somehow the news of Evandau's death hits him with a grief he can't begin to justify.]

Who was he? What happened?

He was the Chief of the old police force...and Emperor after Eshai. For a short time anyway. He was...murdered.

Who ran the police force after he was killed? I heard it's someone else now.

...Sabriel sounds familiar, but if they -- she? -- was here while I was, we never met.

[Raine remembers this man, she thinks, if only peripherally.]

I only arrived here after Eshai had died, but I may be able to fill in some things. Are you... trying to remember?

[He hesitates before shrugging.]

I guess, yeah. If I can. If it is me.

[He sits abnormally still, his way of coping with his stress in unknown areas.]

What can you tell me about Jack and Percy?

If you can remember some things, I doubt you're a different version of yourself.

[Although Raine is still learning about souls and metaphysics and memories, and where all three fit together.]

Jack was... some type of ice spirit; I'm unfortunately not clear on the details. He ran the Welcome Center while he was here, and was dating Zatanna. She's still here, if you haven't spoken to her yet.

Percy I only met very briefly, in passing. I can't tell you much more beyond describing his physical appearance. He seemed to have some kind of affinity for water, I think.

Jack Frost? Was a- a spirit of some kind? [Because why the hell would he trust some bullshit magical spirit.]

None of them well, but I can tell you what I recall.

Annabeth's last name was 'Chase', Arthur was a very cagey man, Bruce Banner was a scientist and made several technology installations while he was here. Jack Frost was the winter spirit kid who ran the Welcome Center. Hannibal Lector was the man who murdered Eshai. Kyle Rayner was something called a Green Lantern-- ask with the robot girl, Aya, about him.

[He says slowly, without much confidence. Costigan doesn't really remember Kyle Rayner, only the notes he has on the man, but Aya always stood out to him.]
