Their actions do not make sense to me.

Malicant was evil. He hurt the kedan. He hurt us. He killed some of the baby turtles, but not all of them. Then he left them for us to find. He has no thought for life. If he comes back, he will hurt and kill more. That is all he does. There is no good idea about him coming back.
