[ if one looks at the location of this post, it's from Wood. Kyle's idea of being careful is essentially walking over to another Sector to use one of the cafes. ]

hello?

seriously there's better things to rip off than myspace

[ He's going to treat this as a chatroom until he has reason to do otherwise. ]

is this network the only way to contact people? what happened to telephones? or shining a signal in the sky? [ subtle. very subtle. He buffers it quickly: ] or even messenger pigeons?

[ now to see if anyone takes the hint. Before then, he decides to offer a helpful tidbit: ]

by the way this isn’t a dream or a collective hallucination

[This reply's location tracks to WA-1A, in fact, the suite of one 'Clark Kent.' (Hi, neighbor.) His wife isn't trying to hide it, or her causal hi-jacking of his console.

Hey, it's more subtle than (probably) asking about the Bat-signal.]

Signals in the sky? Seems a little extreme, just to get someone's attention. I've found calling generally does the trick.

[And now to see how he'll take that. 'Calling' usually means 'telephone,' not super-hearing, but if he's from her world and recognizes one of their names...]

[Facepalm.

And up goes some encryptioning. Not the Epic Awesome of Batcryption, maybe, but it's respectable enough.]

I've probably gotten a little spoiled by the emergency rapid response rate, it's true. It comes in pretty handy sometimes.

If you're one of B's he'll skin you alive for lacking subtlety like that.

Secure enough for work names. I try not to trust personal I.D.s to anything less than face-to-face or top-tier Bat-secured connections.

Probably, though it won't be on the job unless you manage to beat the Boy Scout to the punch.

[Bad puns aren't usually her style. It was worth it for the hint--or anvil--about who she is.]
