[Those who have seen it before might recognise that Percy is sitting in Annabeth's suite and using her console rather than his own] Okay, so, first things first. Sea prunes? Don't go there. And I'm saying that as the guy whose dad probably invented them.
[His fingers reach for a nearby pen and absently tap it against the desk before he scrawls something meaningless on a piece of paper nearby. People who have spoken to Percy before might not that he's more twitchy than usual, almost agitated.] Second, um. Are there any jobs going in places that are a little more Foreigner friendly? Apparent customers won't buy things from places if the person serving them calls them a jerk, even if they're being one. The managers don't seem to like it, either. Something without boring, repetitive tasks would be great, too. As it turns out, that's kind of hard to deal with when you're ADHD. [A beat. He fold the paper in half absently slides it into a nearby book.] And if any writing could be in Ancient Greek, that would be awesome. Dyslexics of the world untie, that sort of thing.
[He picks the book up and places it somewhere off-screen, seemingly unaware of what he's doing. A grin tugs at the corner of his mouth, and he laughs, a little sheepishly] Okay, so I don't do a great job at selling myself. But I promise, I'm hardworking. I'm resourceful, I don't mind manual labour, I can talk to sea creatures and horses, and I make a mean garden hose. And I really, really need something to do here, or else I'm going to lose my mind. And believe me when I say no one wants a crazy demigod on their hands. [He gives a small wave, and is about to disappear when he thinks of something]
Oh yeah! Apparently there are some people who don't know how to swim? I can totally teach you, if you want. Or...I dunno, take people on water rides around the turtle. Floating around in the ocean in a bubble is pretty neat, I'm just saying.

action
[He catches that nervousness, and an impulsive smile breaks across his face. Not laughing at her, but just - happy. Happy that they're here, that they have each other, and that they're both just as fumbling and unsure. It's not like either one of them has any more experience at this] Absolutely. [He kisses her forehead. And then her cheek, and then the corner of her mouth] Okay is probably an understatement.
action
[Then he smiles at her like that, and she can tell it's not teasing. It makes her happy, too, erases some of the anxiety secretly plaguing her about - all of this, them. Her smiles deepens into a full one, and when he leans back over to kiss her, she closes her eyes in the feeling and trust.] An understatement for both of us.
[She moves her arms around his shoulders, so she's half hugging him, for the gesture of embrace above anything else. Annabeth ducks her head towards the crook of his neck and pulls him closer at the same time, because for what she's about to say, she's not sure she can look at him right now, muttered and mumbled as it is.] I love you, Percy.
[Because really, that's about all she's thinking about right now.]
action
When he speaks, his voice is hoarse from more than just desire] I love you too, Annabeth. [He closes his eyes and moves in closer, focusing on the feeling of her arms around him. He's barely aware of the next words leaving his mouth, whispered almost inaudibly] Never again.
action
[Annabeth hugs him tighter, pulls him even closer so they're flush together; she plants a kiss at the corner of his jaw, the best spot she can reach at this angle. A year without him. Tartarus at home. She'll bask in the reality of this moment here, right now, for as long as she can. It's easier to say the 'I love yous' than flounder through what all that actually means, because apparently when he gets overwhelmed, she joins him.]
[But thinking about it, maybe that's how it works. For them, at least. For good and bad things. She kisses his jaw again, hands curling into his shirt.]
action
Eventually he moves his head a little, shifting around so he can look her in the face. He clears his throat slightly] So are we gonna keep making out, or...?
[Percy Jackson: Destroyer of Moments]
action
[Not that she's... not going to. And that's probably clear in the way she's peering up at him.]
action
If they can be here together, and she can say that to him, it makes him think that anything is possible.]
action
[She moves her hands to cup his face, keeping it fairly close to hers, even when they break to speak or breathe. The way he looks at her whenever they do this always thrills and scares her, but she'd never look away. The thought makes her kiss him again, a little harder.]
