01 - video (no spoilers!)
[Fire sector may notice a slight dip in temperature within the past few hours. Whoops.
A war? Elsa had no intention of fighting a war. Not after what she had just been through. And she can’t help but feel as if she’s being used as some weapon, some ultimate means to an end, and while her ‘hosts’ had been kind enough to explain everything to her it didn’t ease her feelings of discomfort at all.
She had spent most of her first day getting used to her surroundings, trying to get accustomed to the computer interface(A few keys had gotten stuck to her icy fingers, but she managed with some warm water), searching through messages. Always adapt, that was a part of being a queen wasn’t it?
There’s a small sigh of relief when she doesn’t see her sister or anyone else she cared about among the messages posted up. There was Prince Hans, but she had tried to deal with that accordingly.
Still, she’s in a foreign place all by herself. It’s time to do the queenly thing—right?
Video flips on and she shows a bit of surprise before relaxing and speaking.]
Hello, I’m Queen Elsa of Arendelle. [She had thought about hiding her title or where she was from, but Hans had decided to announce himself to the network, it’d be far too difficult to try and cover up her own identity. She won't be mentioning the ice powers quite yet, though. Call it a force of habit.] I’m new here and could use some guidance, particularly when it comes to finding a job.
[How does I shot job hunt? Now she’ll warm up with a smile. It’s genuine, not forced, though may a touch of tiredness will hit it.]
Also, there are so many people here from places and times I’ve never heard of, I would love to hear more about every one of you.
[That’s… not even lip service. She’d been so confined to one place in her life, that now she was curious beyond reason, wanting to hear more about everything. And once she got home, because she would get home, she could tell Anna about it.]
I hope to hear from some of you very soon. Good day.
[And after a graceful curtsy, the feed cuts off.]
(ooc| If you want to tag, but don't want spoilers mentioned around your character, please feel free to drop me a line here!)

Wow, you're the second queen this month. [Hush Korra, you're actually royalty too.]
If you want to know anything about the turtle, Tu Vishan, you can swing by the Welcome Center. It's in the center of Keeliai, and we can see about getting you some work if you're looking for it.
[Oops, she almost forgot.] Korra by the way. Nice to meet you Queen Elsa.
[Putting her right fist in her left palm, Korra bows forward; the towel around her neck hanging loosely as she does so. She knows how to greet royalty, her uncle was the chief of both Water Tribes all her life after all.
Eridan doesn't count.]no subject
[ALREADY TALKED TO MAKO. WHOOPS.]
Mako said I should speak with you. Apparently my abilities are like your own?
no subject
Oh yeah, which element? [Now she's curious on whether it earth, fire, air, or water related.]
no subject
[best way to put it]
no subject
You're just in time for winter then. [Grinning, Korra moves her hand in front of her and water flows out of her bottle, and then freezes as a thing strand of ice hovering in midair.]
I'm a waterbender from the South Pole. Water, ice, and snow are my thing. [She shrugs and bends the ice into a snowball.] Steam and mist too, but I rarely use it for that.
So what's up, do you need someone to practice with?
no subject
[A soft laugh as she considers the concept of 'practice']
I've never really practiced... especially not with anyone else before.
no subject
Ice and snow is pretty important to a waterbender, plenty of it to go around back home. Out of myself, Jack, and Zatanna though; yours sound closest to Jack’s.
[She has to ask:] You don’t just so happen to be the Spirit of Winter where you’re from, do you?
no subject
[Though many had started using the nickname 'the snow queen' back home. That made her feel a bit larger than life.]
no subject
You should feel right at home- er [Well…] or I mean, you’ll fit right in. There’s plenty of people with powers here, and even some royalty too.
[
Eridan still doesn’t count.]no subject
I've never been 'normal' before. [She's still digesting it tbh] But it's nice, to be among good company.
no subject
There’s a lot going on with the palace and stuff, but that doesn’t stop a lot of us from helping each other out. So if you need anything, these consoles are pretty handy. [As if she’s a pro. Korra doesn’t even know how to go past basic encryption on her own.]
no subject
So I guess I'll have to get used to a lot.
no subject
What’s Arendelle like? [From what Korra’s heard of Earth, the general one most foreigners come from, that name’s never come up before. ]
no subject
[Give her a moment to think about it-- she's never had to really describe Arendelle to anyone else.]
It's beautiful. The castle is right on a fjord, so you can see mountains and the water. Sometimes the night sky lights up with the aurora borealis.
I'm just starting to learn more about it's people-- the castle was closed off for thirteen years.
But, I'm happy to rule over and protect the lands. It's my home.
no subject
Spirits dancing in the sky! [Excited, Korra leans on her desk.] The Northern and Southern lights! You have them too.
You’re home kind of sounds like mine.
[A beat and Korra’s face falls into one of dawning realization.]
Thirteen years…?
no subject
Yes. The castle was closed off for thirteen years... Due to [how to even phrase this] some issues within the royal family.
I was eight at the time.
no subject
When I was four I was put into the compound at the South Pole for thirteen years. [If there’s anyone on Tu Vishan can understand the boredom of being stuck in one place for that long, it’s Korra.]
It may not be home, but Keeliai’s been pretty good about letting us go and do whatever we want.
Provided it’s not illegal or anything. [That should go without saying, but the recent murders have Korra a little on edge.]
no subject
Well, I don't plan on doing anything illegal. [a short pause as she reconsiders.] Unless building things with ice is illegal.
[then she's totally gonna break the law... Well already broke the law. ... And really she can reasonably assume it isn't illegal]
no subject
Now, it’s not illegal. I actually made a lot of ice and snow when the cold weather first got her so everyone could have some fun. It was a rough summer, so I figured why not.
Hey, next time you can help me out.
no subject
[not that she was about to reveal the extent of her strength or any thing about the curse-- but at least see and observe how others worked. Start slow, see what she could do from there. ]
no subject
Anytime. Just send me a message and I'll make time.
