[Sabriel looks exhausted, but there's a certain note of satisfaction in her voice as she speaks.]

Atam was... interesting. I found several rather interesting things there. [Two of them are laid out behind her- a trident and a sword.] Including two books of Charter Magic from my own world. The shopkeeper said he simply found them one day, which brings me to my next point. [A brief look of anxiety comes over Sabriel's face, and her tone becomes something between a student giving a presentation and a teacher giving a lecture.]

I know the kedan are unfriendly, and that many here cannot defend themselves. Since I was a child, I have been taught how to wield a sword, and was tutored at my school in the basics of sorcery, and I want to share that knowledge with those who may need it to protect themselves.

[And Sabriel's long white fingers trace a glowing symbol in the air- the mark for light, to be specific, and lets it collapse into a bright pinpoint of light, illuminating the room.]

Charter Magic is not a toy, and can be a powerful tool in the hands of the skilled- a tool to harm, create, heal... or do many other things, if you know the correct symbols and have the power to use them properly.

[Sabriel lets herself relax a little.]

Yes, I can- Charter magic, at least. [Not that Sabriel would run around teaching necromancy even if she could find people with an aptitude for it.]

What are their addresses? I'll ask both of them if they have any way to employ me.

What other kind of magic is there? [In Sabriel's world. The term Charter magic isn't something she's familiar with, even amongst the magic users she knows, so it seems like it might be something univesre specific.

As for addresses, she attaches them both, as well as console numbers for Bruce and Tony, and sends it in a file to Sabriel.]

Wayne's less likely to hit on you, for the record. If that's a concern you have about employers.

I'd prefer a lack of- improper behavior from my employers, yes. I'll speak to Mr. Wayne first.

Well, you made that sound alarming. [Just... putting that out there.] I'm guessing it's the more dangerous type of magic?

[She wishes Traci 13 were here. She'd even take Klarion. Maybe.]

Yeah, most people do. [The Bruce Wayne persona might be a flirt, but he tends to stick to people over twenty five, at least.]

More dangerous, less predictable- and rarely used by those with good intentions.

You mentioned a baptism; is that like... [how to phrase it?] Whatever you do, can it be undone?

Baptisms cannot be undone, although mages sometimes become... corrupted, and lose their connection to the Charter if they start to dabble in Free magic.

That's a hell of a committment, even if it might not stay with us when we go home. [Which is a whole other set of issues.] I'm interested, I think, but would it be alright if I thought over it for a while?

[She should talk to people about it. Bruce, especially, knowing how he feels about magic.]
