[Seeing herself looking back at herself in the little window on the corner of her monitor, Korra gave a stumped look and tapped the little camera lens that the desktop was using. Seeing her huge finger tapping back at her caused her a smile and she cleared her throat. Music can be heard from the speakers.]

Ahem. Hello. My name's Korra, I just got here. I'm the Avatar, but I'm not too sure that means anything here. [She looks both angry and confused, immediately wondering why she just thought of that now instead before.] But anyway, the kedan informed me that I should probably get a job. [Of course it probably sounded a lot nicer when they said it.]

So if anyone knows of a good place to work at, I'd appreciate the help. [She leans forward and puts her forehead in her hand, admonishing herself for not bringing up what she would able to do for work.] Um, I'm a bender, I can create fire and move water or earth around or into just about any shape or form you need? [Ice sculpting crossed her mind. She'd never given any thought to it. Then again she was never too artistic to begin with.] I don't know if fire matters? Burning things doesn't sound a like it'd be in big demand...

Also I'm a former pro athlete! If there's any kinds of sports going on I'd like to get into that! [A smile spreads across her face.] Doesn't even have to be a job, just for fun.

I'm in the Metal Sector if that helps. If anybody's from there we can meet up and you could fill me in a little more about this place? Looks pretty cool to be honest. Oh, and food, meeting at a restaurant would be good. [She stares at her monitor screen with her lips pushed to one side of her mouth.] And any advice or pointers on these things- [She points at the monitor, which just seems like she's pointing at the viewers.] would be welcome too. The kedan gave me a quick once over for it, but I'm not sure that's going to be enough.

[There's an long awkward pause as she looks left to right nervously.]

Yeah, that's about it.

We got here the same way as you did, I assume. One minute I was in our world, and the next I was here.

[She purses her lips thinking on that. Maybe it wasn't her meditation on the spirit world that got her here. If anything she knew Tarrlok genuinely wanted to stop Amon before, underhanded kidnappings included.]

...Unfortunately, he seems to have some allies, and my attempts to convince the general populace that he's dangerous haven't gone over too well.

[She crosses her arms over her chest with her brow furrowed.] Yeah, he's a real people person. [Never had she figured out how Amon could just talk people into following him.]

You're serious about stopping him, aren't you? [She knew the answer, it was just a ploy to buy time to mull over Amon's existence here. As well as Tarrlok's.]

Me either. [She leans forward and points at the camera with a complete lack of a smile.] People aren't going to listen to words, even ones from you. Something else needs to be done, but I don't really like the idea of the kedan possibly getting hurt.

What has he done? Rallies and speeches?

He hasn't done much here, yet. He's trying to convince the general population that he's reformed, I think.

I don't believe any of it.

You and me both. He's lied to hundreds of people before, this place shouldn't be any different.

[Suddenly her brow furrows with some concern.] How did you escape from Amon back home?

Exactly. I'm aware that we aren't on the best of terms, but perhaps with both of us speaking out more people will believe the truth about him.

I'm not sure. When I arrived here, I hadn't been captured yet, but he kindly informed me of my fate. [Possibly a mistake because Tarrlok may have been more inclined to forgive if he didn't know Noatak's actions have already hurt him personally.]

Well you're not my favorite person in the world, but that world's gone. For now. So right now you're the only familiar face I know.

Your fate? [She gasps.] What happened? Last time I remember seeing you, you told me everything about you and Noatak. Thanks to you it was the only way we could expose him and take down his revolution.

He told me he took my bending, so I assume he captured me, too.

He didn't tell me anything about that, though. You took him down?

Well he didn't lie to you. But yes, you told Mako and I about you, him, and Yakone. About how you learned bloodbending with your brother.

I'm sorry your father made Noatak bloodbend you.

You apologized for...everything you did to me. [She clears her throat.] After that I wanted to free you from him, but you wouldn't allow it. If you got free he would know you spoke to someone, namely us.

That was the last time I saw you.

I'm afraid I don't know what I would have done after that. [But apologizing to Korra and refusing to be freed sounds a lot like desperation, which he doesn't like.]

...Kidnapping you was the wrong thing to do, but I thought if Amon was defeated because of me I would have finally accomplished enough to free myself from my father's legacy. Given how both my brother and I ended up, I can see that it was a misguided effort.

Either way I’m glad you came to your senses and I’ll try and convince the others I’ve talked to just how dangerous he really is. He’s plotting something, I just know it. I’ll keep you updated if I learn anything.

I wish you luck. But I warn you, people have gotten angry at me for calling him out just because he hasn't done many objectionable things here. They don't understand that you can't just give someone like him a clean slate without putting everyone in danger.

[And because that probably made him sound like a hypocrite:] I've told everyone I'm a bloodbender and that I'm his brother. So far, I've received more disdain for my own confession than he has for hiding his crimes.

I can’t believe people here are that stubborn.

[She folds her arms and leans back into her chair. It was somehow comforting that Tarrlok had come clean about his bloodbending.]

Well they don’t know how you did the right thing when it came down to it. Hopefully anything I can add will give these people at least a heads up.

[And randomly:]

…Do you know of any places to get a job at? [There’s no way to describe just how odd it felt for her to ask him that, even considering they’ve worked together before.]

Unfortunately, I doubt your word will do much. It seems that I'm considered the enemy here, and you might be best off not to say anything in my favor.

[Selfless? Not really, he just doesn't want to see the only other person who is willing to go against Amon get a bad reputation as well.]

You can try asking Bruce Wayne. A lot of people here are employed by him.

Yeah, I’m getting that feeling too. Can’t say you didn’t give them fair warning whenever Amon does do whatever it is he’s planning, right? [Selfless, no? Considerate, yes. That’s a step in the right direction as far as Korra’s concerned.]

[Said with some reluctance, because doing anything that might benefit someone else at his own expense still feels like a huge hit to his pride.]
