[Seeing herself looking back at herself in the little window on the corner of her monitor, Korra gave a stumped look and tapped the little camera lens that the desktop was using. Seeing her huge finger tapping back at her caused her a smile and she cleared her throat. Music can be heard from the speakers.]

Ahem. Hello. My name's Korra, I just got here. I'm the Avatar, but I'm not too sure that means anything here. [She looks both angry and confused, immediately wondering why she just thought of that now instead before.] But anyway, the kedan informed me that I should probably get a job. [Of course it probably sounded a lot nicer when they said it.]

So if anyone knows of a good place to work at, I'd appreciate the help. [She leans forward and puts her forehead in her hand, admonishing herself for not bringing up what she would able to do for work.] Um, I'm a bender, I can create fire and move water or earth around or into just about any shape or form you need? [Ice sculpting crossed her mind. She'd never given any thought to it. Then again she was never too artistic to begin with.] I don't know if fire matters? Burning things doesn't sound a like it'd be in big demand...

Also I'm a former pro athlete! If there's any kinds of sports going on I'd like to get into that! [A smile spreads across her face.] Doesn't even have to be a job, just for fun.

I'm in the Metal Sector if that helps. If anybody's from there we can meet up and you could fill me in a little more about this place? Looks pretty cool to be honest. Oh, and food, meeting at a restaurant would be good. [She stares at her monitor screen with her lips pushed to one side of her mouth.] And any advice or pointers on these things- [She points at the monitor, which just seems like she's pointing at the viewers.] would be welcome too. The kedan gave me a quick once over for it, but I'm not sure that's going to be enough.

[There's an long awkward pause as she looks left to right nervously.]

Yeah, that's about it.

Jobs? Right. We've gotta settle, and get jobs. Just like it'd be at home.

[She seems a little flabbergasted as she recalls that she was told earlier pretty much the same thing.]

And...you just can make all those elements? Out of nothing?

Jobs are kind of a new thing to me. [She smiles a little sheepishly since she never had to actually work, just train and was taken care of.]

Oh no, no. [She puts up her hands defensively.] Well, fire yeah. But there needs to be earth or rock and water to bend them. And air, but there's always air. [Her voice drops in volume.] I'm not the best with air.

But I hope bending can help me with that. Maybe I can do something for the rationing the kedan told me about? I don't know.

You've got super powers!

[She's totally in awe, she's seen a lot of things but not many girls with super powers. It's pretty remarkable.]

I dunno where you're from, but in London people'd pay good money t'see something like that. Even if it's not safe. It is though, isn't it? Safe?

Easy there, just some bending and it does have it's limits. London?

[She scratches the back of her head smiling nervously.] Well it is safe if the bender wants it to be, but some people use it against others. As the Avatar though I'm totally using it to help people.

Yeah, well bending doesn't exist where I'm from. T'me, it's totally a super power.

[She can't stop smiling, because that is just too neat.]

Maybe some of the locals'd pay to see a couple bending tricks? And...what exactly's an Avatar? Not trying t'be nosy, just...never met anyone that can bend air or water or anything like it.

[Bending ticks instantly bring her mind to Bolin training Pabu and she just bites bother her lips to stop from smiling.]

Where I'm from, the Avatar is the only person who can bend all four elements. While others can only bend one element or none at all. It's the Avatar's job to keep balance in the world and be something like a bride to the Spirit World. Kind of like an ambassador I guess?

And hey, don't worry. Never hurts to be curious, right?

Definitely doesn't.

[She grins widely, the tip of her tongue sticking out between her teeth. Curiosity is almost her middle name, and she hardly ever minds the trouble it brings her.]

Actually, I'm feeling a little curious right now. Figure it wouldn't hurt for an Avatar t'meet up with me and we can do some exploring? Might find a job, maybe.

[And also Rose is just intensely curious about seeing some powers up close and in person.]

I'd love to! My name's Korra. We can start hitting that pavement and start looking for a job. What sector are you in? [Korra's all about making new friends and why not find a job while she was at it?]

I'm Rose, and I'm in the... [She trails off as she looks all around.] Oh! Wood sector, right. Shouldn't be too hard to find a place to meet in the middle, should it?

[Korra can't help but smirk. Absent minded friends are always worth having.]

Gotcha. I'm in the Metal sector so we can meet up at the border and poke around to see what we can find. Is tomorrow good?

Sounds brilliant. I'll see you then, and I'll phone if there's any changes.

[A pause, and she realizes her mistake.]

Or, I'll just skip the mobile and use this thing instead. Takes a while to get used to different technology, I guess.
