[Seeing herself looking back at herself in the little window on the corner of her monitor, Korra gave a stumped look and tapped the little camera lens that the desktop was using. Seeing her huge finger tapping back at her caused her a smile and she cleared her throat. Music can be heard from the speakers.]
Ahem. Hello. My name's Korra, I just got here. I'm the Avatar, but I'm not too sure that means anything here. [She looks both angry and confused, immediately wondering why she just thought of that now instead before.] But anyway, the kedan informed me that I should probably get a job. [Of course it probably sounded a lot nicer when they said it.]
So if anyone knows of a good place to work at, I'd appreciate the help. [She leans forward and puts her forehead in her hand, admonishing herself for not bringing up what she would able to do for work.] Um, I'm a bender, I can create fire and move water or earth around or into just about any shape or form you need? [Ice sculpting crossed her mind. She'd never given any thought to it. Then again she was never too artistic to begin with.] I don't know if fire matters? Burning things doesn't sound a like it'd be in big demand...
Also I'm a former pro athlete! If there's any kinds of sports going on I'd like to get into that! [A smile spreads across her face.] Doesn't even have to be a job, just for fun.
I'm in the Metal Sector if that helps. If anybody's from there we can meet up and you could fill me in a little more about this place? Looks pretty cool to be honest. Oh, and food, meeting at a restaurant would be good. [She stares at her monitor screen with her lips pushed to one side of her mouth.] And any advice or pointers on these things- [She points at the monitor, which just seems like she's pointing at the viewers.] would be welcome too. The kedan gave me a quick once over for it, but I'm not sure that's going to be enough.
[There's an long awkward pause as she looks left to right nervously.]
Yeah, that's about it.

[Granted, she knew there was probably more to the housing assignments than powers alone, but it was an interesting bit of trivia.]
video
Without airbending! [This is the most important thing in her life right now.] Which is also a good thing since my airbending is kind of...unrefined.
Why, what sector are you in?
video
[There was a lot of information in that ramble. Water, Fire, Earth, and Air? Pretty impressive in its own right. No matter how 'unrefined' she claimed the latter to be. The surprise about air condition also made her suspect they were dealing with a major time discrepancy.]
Just because you're allocated to one sector doesn't mean you can't explore the others, though. Fire is one of my favorite hot spots, actually. [Zatanna, stop] And Water's pretty cool, too.
video
Wood sounds pretty popular, you're the second person I've talked to from there. Do they have neat things like in the Metal sector? I saw a store that was selling a musical one of these, [She taps the screen of the monitor. only they were this big. [Her index finger's touching the thumb on the opposite hand and vice-versa.]
I mean how do they that! My radio was kind of heavy, you know?
video
That's because Wood's the place to be. We have treehouses and everything.
[A musical...oh!]
Welcome to the Wonders of Modern Technology. It's like magic, only not quite.
video
Aren't you scared it might catch fire there?
video
[Jack would love this girl]
I bet you're not the first person to ask that. Fortunately, whichever genius who decided Wood and Earth should be on either side of Fire seemed to take some precautions. When it comes to the flames, you'd have to actually stick your hand straight in their to be in any danger.
[The sector itself, however, was another story altogether.]
video
Fire that doesn't burn sounds a little weird. Okay, it sounds really weird. I'm starting to think Metal isn't so bad, but maybe Water would have been better. [She gestures simply at her blue clothing, blue wrist bands, and blue arm band.] Being a Southern Water Tribe girl and all.
video
Yeah, I never fully got the assignments, either. My next door neighbor is pretty big on the snow and ice too. I would've figured he'd be put in Water. And I always figured I'd either be assigned Earth, since i"m a Taurus, or something like Fire.
You really have to see the flames for yourself. It's like magic, and I don't throw that word around lightly.
video
Maybe I can check out the Fire Sector when I go out to see what jobs I can do. Need juulan somehow, right?
But hey, you could always move right? I think I heard something about that.
video
I have two. One on either side. They ended up becoming some of my best friends on the whole Turtle.
[And then some.]
Yeah, you can move if you really want. Some people like to Sector Hop depending upon where their friends from home end up.
video
So what's your name?
video
I'm Zatanna.
video
And yeah, shell-dom is turning out to be a little bit easier than I would have ever guessed. So did the kedan give you a job?
video
[The 'cool' part, she got. It was the rest of the sentence that had her momentarily confused.]
I had two, but got fired from one a few weeks back due to extreme prejudice. Long story.
For the moment, I'm working in a little magic shop on the sector's edge.
Re: video
So magic huh? I've seen some card and coin tricks. What other magic-y things are there?
video
[Don't mind her sarcasm, Korra. It's not directed at you.]
All kinds of magic. Flight. Teleportation. Transformation. Healing. If I have enough power to supply the spell, I can do it.
video
Whoa, whoa. Stop. [Her hands come up suddenly to stop the existence of magic hitting her brain all at once.]
You're telling me there's real, real magic? You can do all that??
video
I can.
But isn't that what you were talking about before? With the elements. That sounds like pretty routine spells to me.
video
It takes a lot of training to get the physical movements down and the concentration. Magic is- wow. Magic is- I mean what was that? Transportation, Flying, and stuff?
Yeah, bending is pretty far off from magic.
video
I was born with the ability too. I inherited it from my parents, but it took a long time of training with my dad before I could use any spells properly.
video
video
A little of both, really.
I mean, I'm not exactly fluent in divination, but any magician worth her trade knows the basic of tarot card reading. The store itself is mostly for supplies. Herbs. Charms. That sort of thing. And I enchant them for an additional fee according to store policy.
