[ this. is. so. not. okay. "caught between life, death, and dreaming". right. okay.
bullshit.
it's taken her a while before she decided to actually sit down and use the computer in her suite, because it feels so- dumb. she never used social media at home, and she's glad for it, because none of it mattered once the virus took over. more to the point, where are all the zombies in this place? crowds of people ( or whatever those mutated human-ish people were ) and none of them were carrying guns or looking to make a meal out of her. which, for some reason, makes her feel more nervous than when she and Little Rock had to search the supermarket for food. it made no sense. none of this makes sense.
so when she turns on her broadcast, she looks a little peeved, dark bangs covering dark eyes, her mouth pressed into a line.
truth is, she's panicking. but like hell is she going to let anybody know that. she has a million questions about this place, but first things first: ]
I'm looking for my sister. If I'm here, she's here. It's how things work. [ at least, it better be. she's going to be livid if she finds out she's been split up from her sister, even if Zombieland is on pause while she's here. ] She'll be going by the name 'Little Rock', or maybe 'Hannah Montana'. Also, there's a good chance she picked your wallet off of you while feeding you some sob story about being lost and scared. If you help me find her, I'll make sure she gives it back.
Thanks.

[ He doesn't seem to mind, and even if she can't see him, her reaction is still pretty positive. ]
Yeah, that's a pretty common reaction.

[ uh wow, and now all she's thinking about is Little Rock, if she would believe in the spirit of winter, or, well, anything really. she might not. which is just another reminder that her little sister had to grow up and ignore her childhood way, way too fast. she blames herself for it. ]
What's your name?

Jack Frost. What's yours?
no subject
... Huh.
I'm Wichita.
no subject
Nice to meet you, Witchita. Like the city?
no subject
Yep. Born and raised. It's cool to meet you too, Jack Frost. [ like maybe if she says who he is enough, it'll sink in ]

[ Lame or not, it seems to cheer him a great deal if the lightening tone in his voice is any indication. ]
Frostnip, I feel like I have to disclaim that I'm not actually going around and biting people or anything.

[ she laughs at that last bit, and it ends up kind of surprising her a little ]
I think most people assume it means a nip of cold, yeah. When I was a kid I always- [ is she about to actually share something about herself right now? really? yeah. and she catches herself, but she's already started, so. ] -I always thought of it as.. whenever it got cold enough that the tip of your nose turned red, that was it. Jack Frost nipping at your nose. Like only a certain kind of snow made that happen, or something. [ she huffs another laugh ]

[ But it's pretty evident in his voice that he's kind of sitting over here and basking in being recognized for who he is. ]

[ says the girl talking to an invisible guy. this could definitely be a play, a con. but she's buying right into it. ]
I wish I could see you, this is so- not normal. People get institutionalized for this kinda thing back home.

[ He thinks about Costigan, who believes in him but still remains unable to see him, and wonders if Wichita will be like that... even though she seems far more receptive to the idea of what he was than Costigan had ever been, even now. ]
We can always try to spark something later. Let's see if we can find your sister first, okay?
no subject
Let me know if you catch sight of her anywhere, yeah?
no subject
[ like you even have to ask ]
Catch you later.
