[ this. is. so. not. okay. "caught between life, death, and dreaming". right. okay.
bullshit.
it's taken her a while before she decided to actually sit down and use the computer in her suite, because it feels so- dumb. she never used social media at home, and she's glad for it, because none of it mattered once the virus took over. more to the point, where are all the zombies in this place? crowds of people ( or whatever those mutated human-ish people were ) and none of them were carrying guns or looking to make a meal out of her. which, for some reason, makes her feel more nervous than when she and Little Rock had to search the supermarket for food. it made no sense. none of this makes sense.
so when she turns on her broadcast, she looks a little peeved, dark bangs covering dark eyes, her mouth pressed into a line.
truth is, she's panicking. but like hell is she going to let anybody know that. she has a million questions about this place, but first things first: ]
I'm looking for my sister. If I'm here, she's here. It's how things work. [ at least, it better be. she's going to be livid if she finds out she's been split up from her sister, even if Zombieland is on pause while she's here. ] She'll be going by the name 'Little Rock', or maybe 'Hannah Montana'. Also, there's a good chance she picked your wallet off of you while feeding you some sob story about being lost and scared. If you help me find her, I'll make sure she gives it back.
Thanks.

audio;
-- I'm Wichita, by the way.
audio;
[Maybe he's testing her. A little.]
Let me guess. Kansas?
[What is it with hot girls and never actually just giving him their names? Practically criminal.]
audio;
[ WHAT CRIMINAL WHERE WHO'S A CON ARTIST NOBDY HERE WHISTLE WHISTLE oh wait you meant- ]
Born and raised.
audio;
[She might not be able to see it but his hands? Totally in the air in surrender right about now.]
So they cleared up that whole radioactive mess there, huh? Wow, I figured that was gonna take like-- at least another century. I'm pretty impressed.
audio;
-- Except when it comes to Starfleet's finest, obviously.
[ thIS IS GETTING EXHAUSTING is she seriously the only person with cable tv on this turtle or what ]
So anyway, have you been here long? I've got a ton of questions about this place.
audio;
She's way too hot to be a Klingon spy, come on. Also, there are so many jokes he could make here about length but he's more interested in trying to unravel the Innate Mystery of Kansas Farmgirls.]
Oh, you know. A few days. Feels like a lifetime. I am so ready for the sandy beach part of this garden party.

audio;
[ listen. normally she'd never go for an easy line like that, but. ]
Alright, sure. I mean, how could a girl say no to an offer like that from Captain Kirk?
[ or some crazy nerd who THINKS he's Kirk ]
audio;
[He is all flash and ego, okay? The grin is audible in his tone.]
If you give me your location, I'll even pick you up with bells on.
audio;
[ or something. she doesn't like thinking about how she realllyyyy doesn't know her way around ]
audio;
How many floors? Each Sector's got three building variants, one through three floors, and each of them are labelled in a weird alphanumerical system. The floor level is the number, the building number is A, B, C, etc, depending on which building it is in sequence. Make sense?
audio;
Yep. How about I meet you outside of building C, then?
[ OHOHO she's so clever. she lives in B. she thinks. ]

[Wichita's a mouthful, okay?? Jim just disconnects and heads her way.
It takes him a while, because hey. Metal's a long ways away from Fire, and he's still kind of nursing a hangover and his nose is still kind of broken so there's that.
Hopefully she's the sort of chick that's turned on by battle scars, or this is going to be a very short sightseeing trip.
He shows up in his black uniform undershirt (gold's still having the blood cleaned out of it) and tips her a lazy salute when he sees her.]
action
and maybe she's a little bit into battle scars, but she sucks in a ( not-so ) pitying breath through her teeth once he's close enough for her to get a good look at his nose, brow furrowing a bit.
also yeah, she's assuming this is Jim Kirk, because nobody else has approached her with any sort of purpose since she got out here. but he's looking for her, acknowledges her. that's proof enough.
Hola, Cap. Should I be worried about being seen with you in public? I'd rather not be the next victim to the guy that did that. [ she just nods, indicating his nose, and okay that is not a great first impression, is it? even if it's kind of a serious question. still! she pulls a smile onto her face, hopefully something a little flirty, but genuine. maybe. again, she's trying. she's still freaked out her sister isn't here! ] Though I'm sure he looks like hell now, so maybe I've got nothing to be worried about.
action
[He lifts a hand, waves it dismissively in front of his face. It's not as bad as it looks, really. Broken noses are easy to snap back into place, and he's had a lot of experience with doing so. He's on the upswing, as far as he's concerned.]
Don't even worry about it. Cultural misunderstanding. He even took me out to dinner after like a proper gentlemen.
[Jim? Jim's shameless.]
