She’s tapping her chin a little thoughtfully, eyeing the camera] Okay, so I get the whole other realm, hi-you’re-on-a-turtle-and-also-there-are-computers thing. Which, weird – seriously, who expects the afterlife to be so high tech? Also, sorry about the possession thing, that must've sucked. But I have something a little more important to ask about right now.

[She leans back and gestures at herself. She’s wearing a green dress that, while it looks good on her, isn’t exactly appropriate for every day wear] Does anyone have clothes I could borrow? Pants, especially pants. You have no idea how long it’s been since I even saw a pair of jeans.

Other than that, does anyone know if there’s a dance club around here or something? I had a look around myself, but maybe someone who’s been here longer can help. There’s gotta be some place teenagers can go to let loose, right? [She winks, and reaches forward to turn off the camera when something else appears to occur to her]

Oh yeah! I’m A – Catty, I’m Catty. [She holds her hand up in a Vulcan salute] Greetings to my fellow inter-dimensional travellers. Especially those of you with pants.

[Alcuin musters up a smile for her.]

It does look very well on you. Far better, I think, than some of the clothing that others have arrived in.

[He had a bloodstain problem, for instance.]

[That gets a bright smile out of her, straightening slightly] Thanks! [A pause, as she tries to decide on how to ask her next question] Hey, so, how many people are here exactly? This isn't supposed to be heaven or anything, right?

I speak only the truth.

[He purses his lips thoughtfully.] I am not certain how many- there are far more of the kedan, the original inhabitants, than there are foreigners. There are perhaps a hundred of those of us who have been brought here? It is not Heaven at all, though some are indeed dead. Others are as alive as they ever were.

[traitorously]

[She smiles again, but it's more distracted this time. She drums her fingers against the desk] So this isn't the - final destination, I guess you could say?

[virginprice]

[He shakes his head. In his religion, no turtles are involved in the afterlife.] No. For my part, I hope it is only a stop along the way.

[traitorously]

[Concern sweeps over her expression] Oh no, what happened? [Hold on] Actually, that's kind of personal, never mind! I don't even know your name, I'm sorry.

[virginprice]

[He smiles, touched by her concern.] Well, that is easily remedied. I am Alcuin nó Delaunay, and it is a pleasure to meet you.

[traitorously]

It's nice to meet you too, even though this whole thing is pretty weird. [A considering pause] Not...the weirdest place I've ever found myself dragged to against my will, though. What does that say about my life?

[virginprice]

That it has been very interesting? [He chuckles.]

[traitorously]

You can say that again. I was kind of hoping to have a break from interesting, actually, but I guess I kind of left the hope thing behind.

[virginprice]

Indeed, it is often far too interesting for my taste. Still, it is not wholly unpleasant.

[Yes, there was just a giant dose of unpleasant, but there have been good times too.]

[traitorously]

Yeah, I noticed that things were kind of...destroyed a little bit, when the kedan were leading me here. What happened here, exactly? Some places look like a bomb hit.

[virginprice]

Something fell from the sky- I believe it would be called a satellite? It carried strange devices, as well as some more... unpleasant occupants.

[traitorously]

[Catty's eyes widen] Hold on, a satellite fell from the sky? What's a satellite doing in in a dimension between life and death? Did zombies launch it up there or something?

[virginprice]

I really couldn't say. I thought it was a falling star at first- the technology here is far more advanced than I am accustomed to.

[There's a slight hesitation over the word 'technology' that betrays that the word itself is unfamiliar.]

[traitorously]

[She notices it] What kind of place are you from?

[virginprice]

It's called Terre d'Ange- on some Earths, I think it is known as France. Whatever the case, it is nothing like the technology here. There is no faster way to communicate at a distance than a message carried by horse and rider.

[traitorously]

Hold on, hold on. Some Earths? You mean there's more than one?

[virginprice]

It is a strange thought, isn't it? But so it seems. I hail from Earth, yet no one else here knows an Earth that has Terre d'Ange.

[Which is a great loss in his opinion. Poor other Earths.]

[traitorously]

Not as weird as I might like it to be, but still pretty strange, yeah.

Is there anyone else from your home in this place?

[virginprice]

You had some familiarity with the idea before?

[He sighs.] When I first arrived, there was, but I am afraid she departed some time ago.

[traitorously]

A little! Kind of. I mean, the idea of different dimensions doesn't exactly bowl me over.

[Oh, that's sad :c] I'm sorry to hear that. At least, I think I'm sorry. Is leaving a good thing or a bad thing, here?
