[ It's a little too late to adhere to that whole non-interference clause of the Prime Directive, being the subject of an alien-napping and all, so here is Spock in all his pointy-eared glory. Looking as straight-faced as possible. Unlike Kirk, he didn't part from their meeting and then drink himself under a table, he stayed up all night watching network conversations and Sciencing. It would be illogical to... wallow, and he refuses to acknowledge that he even has the urge. ] ... Fascinating.
[ For such ancient technology, this thing appears remarkably serviceable. ] Greetings. I am Commander Spock, of the United Federation of Planets. If I understand correctly, then you are my fellow... detainees. [ There, that's politic enough. ] I would like to request information on what is being done with the crashed satellite debris. In return, I may be of some assistance in constructing something useful from it, as I am familiar with this level of technology.
In addition, any information on the turtle itself would be appreciated; the scans I have taken of the creature only tell me so much, and the indigenous people seem... disinclined to reply to my queries.
[ Aaaand he'll just give a sharp nod and the Vulcan Salute on his way out. ]

What are you?
video;
Are you inquiring as to my species?
video;
Yes.
video;
[YOU OF THE NOT-FORTHCOMING-WITH-INFORMATION WHY SHOULD HIS FIRST OFFICER ANSWER ANY OF YOUR QUESTIONS WILLINGLY HE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.]
video;
Captain?

[TRUST HIM
HE ASKED
A LOT
IN THAT CHARMINGLY DOUCHEBAG WAY OF HIS. No dice.
actual twelve year old jim kirk.]

[ he knows all about your charmingly douchebag ways captain :| ]
video;
Hey, I asked nicely! There might have even been a 'please' in there somewhere.
[there wasn't.]
Re: video;
I fail to see what this has to do with his question of my species.
video;
And closes it again.
Spock, why do you appeal to his better judgement? Seriously, how do you even do that, Kirk's not used to having better judgement. He's still adapting to the concept.]
Right. Well. Carry on then, Commander, I'm sure you know what you're doing.
video;
spock doesn't actually look smug but you just know he is on the inside ] Very well.

Is curiosity not allowed? He can choose from himself whether he will answer me or not.

[Total deadpan.]
video;
A grudge does not look flattering on you.
video;
[It's sort of a grudge.]
A captain can't be concerned for his first officer's welfare where you're from? Maybe you like Vulcan meat pies or something.
[STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED have you met the Gorn.]
video;
As a captain in my world, I trust that my men do not need to be babied.
I have never so much as heard of a Vulcan, and I can hardly harm him simply from knowing his race.
[ omfg kirk. ]
video;
I trust Commander Spock with my life, and the last thing he needs to be is babied. My job is to look out for him anyway.

I am a Vulcan. May I ask what you are? [ because he's got Vulcan ears but he's definitely not dressed like one.
Also that eye could have been replaced instead of covered up, if he were part of a species so advanced. ]
video;
I am Aen Seidhe. [ Something more disapproving or perhaps just deadpan here. ] 'Elf' being the names humans have assigned to us. I suppose our proper name was too difficult to commit to memory.
video;
I am capable of pronouncing Aen Seidhe, if you would prefer it.
not here
video;
What would you like to know about Tu Vishan that you haven't been told before? [ all you have to do to be nice to him is not be a human, kirk, geez ]
video;
Anything you know about the biology of the creature. Though any information you have could be helpful.
video;
Tu Vishan is an ancient being, able to come to one's dreams as a spirit, but none may communicate with him otherwise. I suppose we aren't of a consciousness to understand. [ u know, gods of nature and shit, beyond comprehension yada yada ] It is dying from something as of yet unnamed. [ except that Iorveth knows but shh ] Much of the shell has become bare and the vegetation and land has died off there. What remains is centered around Keeliai.
