In return, I may be of some assistance in constructing something useful from it, as I am familiar with this level of technology.

In addition, any information on the turtle itself would be appreciated; the scans I have taken of the creature only tell me so much, and the indigenous people seem... disinclined to reply to my queries.

I think "captives" might be the more accurate word, here. "Detainees" makes it sound like we did something wrong.

[Sorry, that part was just bugging him. Kind of like the odd fact your ears appear to be pointed. Like, in a way that does not happen to humans. But he's showing a little more restraint on commenting on that particular observation.]

I don't think any of us know much more than you do when it comes to the turtle, though. But asking around like this probably couldn't hurt--all I know is that it's not hostile, maybe even a little protective, and if you go anywhere near its head you'll start to feel...well, strange.

Can I just say, thank you for using the right word for all this? Detainees, I mean. Sometimes it feels like we're prisoners, with the way we're just thrown in here and told we're stuck and there's nothing we can do about it.

And uh...not trying to be nosy or anything, but which United Federation of Planets are you a part of, exactly? 'Cause I mean, I've seen a few different planets and universes and all that. Don't think I've ever heard of a federation of planets before, though.

The damage that you may see to several of the buildings across the sectors was caused by debris from the satellite. Apparently, it is particularly advanced.

The Commander part isn't really gonna be of much use here. There's no United Federation of...Planets was it? Not here any way. Heck we can't even leave the turtle for very far so planets is asking a bit much.

Don't know much about the debris either, kinda avoiding it. As for the turtle? It's big and it doesn't seem to be following a set course, just sort of drifts, sometimes dives and other times docks to the mainland.
