001 Ω Video
[A blond, pony-tailed man with discerning blue eyes peers into the camera, pausing momentarily as though he expected something significant to happen. And then he raises his eyebrows and quirks one side of his mouth in a facial shrug, apparently deciding to move on despite the lack of it.]
I suppose this is more efficient than quill and ink, but it lacks a certain panache, wouldn't you say? [Being that Westley's not quite certain who he's addressing, best to presume there's someone or another there.]
So, here we are. Not that I can particularly identify who "we" are other than myself, nor am I especially well-versed in where "here" is, but thus the point of my inquiry. [A small, thin smile at his humor, which somehow manages to come off as less self-congratulatory and more charming.] Perhaps someone might be so kind as to share whatever they feel is relevant to a relative newcomer.
Oh, and I nearly forgot.
[He didn't, but best to come off casual about this specific area.]
If anyone can point me toward a blacksmith, that would be quite helpful.

I'm afraid my own search for a good blacksmith has turned up woefully short of results.
video;
[Also interesting is that this man evidently is seeking to be armed, as Westley is. Lacking horses and given these sublime accommodations, there is little use anyone else could have for a blacksmith.] But surely with a city this vast, there must be some manner of metalworking.

video;
It would seem that either you're as recent an addition here as I, or that the local smithy is well hidden indeed.
video;
A recent addition as well, I'm afraid. I am certain there are those who make farm tools and the like here, but armor and blades are a different craft.
video;
[That is so say, he's perfectly polite and his bias in no way shows through. Practice makes perfect.]
Not so different in some ways. Though it all depends if one is looking for a decorative armament or something more utilitarian. [The latter would suit him just fine.]
video;
Maybe some would settle for a journeyman's wares, but the finest steel is worked by true masters. Sometimes it is the difference between life and death. [Who said it can't be decorative and functional? God he misses Tobho Mott sometimes.] Still, if barely utilitarian suffices, I suppose one of these kedan here might be good enough. [Lofty opinions of armor and swords, he has them. Said boyfriend is a rich knight, he knows good blades and armor.]
video;
In my experience, it's the skill of the wielder and not the quality of the steel that makes the difference. [He defeated the most skilled swordsman in the world who carried the loftiest sword likely ever made using nothing but a generic blade he'd stolen off some lowly trading vessel. Fancy equipment can't match proper technique and a bit of quick thinking.]
